Worth waiting for. Knock a wall out in Pottsville and add another bottling line. They should be brewing this full time. A malt taste, pouring a dark caramel color. Tart. A real nice touch with that retro goat label.

12 oz bottle. Clear dark reddish-brown body covered by a decent head that had good retention. Aroma: attractive light and medium malts with a hint of toffee. Flavor: a bit weaker than expected (from aroma), and more like a brown ale than anticipated. Excellent bitter-sweet balance. O: best Yuengling? ... maybe. Certainly much better than expected and preferable to most major brewery offerings.

Caramel-colored, with a medium-sized head. Pretty standard bock - not bad, but not fantastic. Some spice, malt, and yeast notes.

Transfer from BA review on 2-12-12 - Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a light brown color with a white head. The head fades very fast leaving just the slightest bit of lacing. Smell – Bready malt mixed with a bit of caramel. Nothing too potent, but not lacking either. Taste – Bready sweetness of some roasted malts mixed in with a bit of caramel are the initial tastes present. These last through the taste experience, but fade in intensity as time progresses. Toward the very end of the taste there is an ever so light amount of bitterness which finishes off the sweet flavors and round out the taste quite nicely actually. Mouthfeel – Moderate body and moderate carbonation. Very average. For the bock style it may have a bit too much carbonation; but really not too bad. Overall – For the price, Yuengling comes though again. While not the best bock you will have, they make a pretty decent brew at a good price.

Brown pour into the glass, with a nice eggshell head that leaves soapy lacing. The nose is of caramel and corn (and not caramel corn). Flavors of caramel, some marshmallow, and a light seltzer-water finish. The body is thin with a watery mouthfeel. Not a stellar bock, but goes down well enough, I guess.

Bottle.
Appearance: Perfectly clear reddish/brown/amber body with a foamy and messy off-white head.
Aroma: Sweet caramel, perhaps a touch of corn, and a very mild fruitiness. This smells very nice, definitely respectable and it’s easy to figure out the style from the aroma.
Taste: A touch of malty sweetness hinting at caramel and a prominent overlying fruitiness by the finish hints at cherry. The finish has a slight tinge of metal on the finish though. Definitely an enjoyable beer that I’m not thinking about, it’s just a solid beer.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: This is a good beer, it has no pretense it’s just here to be drank. It’s cheap and straddles the border between macro and craft to bridge beer drinkers alike.

Bottle. Kind of surprised at how easy this goes down. I am enjoying this very much on this Sunday.

Draft at landmark. Pours deep amber toward brown with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is bready, rye, caraway, a bit sweet. The taste is bready, light biscuit, light grain.

Aroma is nutty, malt, caramel, earth, fruits, very clean. Pours clear and on the copper side of brown with an off-white head. Flavors im getting are caramelized sugar, medicinal bitterness, nuts, some malt, sweet fruits, and ceareal grain. Slightly bad aftertaste but other than that not a bad beer at all. Light-Medium oily body, moderate carbonation. Got a six pack on sale for $3.49 so I think ill pick up a few more while their super cheap and still in stock.
