2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Looked great poured from a bottle. Dark opaque black with a nice tan head. Was hoping for more of a nose as with other porters but smelled very weak. Very light roasted cereal barley scent. Slight smoky weak coffee smell. For me it was too light on the palate for a porter. Sweet malt up front followed by a watery coffee back end. Great price but id rather spend more for a more in depth porter.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Decent but not overly flavorful. This is the best I have had from Yuenglijng. A little bit sweet, the maltiness is a decent beer. Short aftertaste.

S: Dark Malts, Very Mildly Roast, Mild Chocolate
T: Dark Mildly Roasted Malts, Mild Chocolate
M: Average Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Malty
Overall, very pedestrian but then again, I am at a Chiliís and not a craft beer bar.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Nearly black with ruby highlights. Aroma of roast and caramel, nuts, and some chocolate. Taste of roast, some chalk, much drier than the aroma would suggest, also lighter body. A fine English-style porter. (Especially if, like me, you spill some as you pour it, so by the time you finish cleaning everything up, the beer warmed up a bit and lost some carbonation. rendering it more "English")

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle poured into a tumbler.
Very dark brown, almost opaque, with a medium tan head.
Soft roasty nose, with some coffee and mellow chocolate aroma.
Clean light roasted malt flavors, lo-med bitterness, some earthiness and some coffee.
Light-med body, some creaminess, short finish and quite balanced. OK.

Aroma of chocolate and coffee with dark fruit all subdued. Thin dark brown black in appearance little to no head. Easy to drink ver light porter, slight mocha, watery slightly, but really ok.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Dark brown with beige foamy head, fruity aroma, slightly bitter coffee beans taste which disappears into bland doughy taste quickly, low carbonation, sour abrupt finish. Disappointing porter.

pours black with a small tan head. This beer is slightly bitter with some roasted malts and a little sweetness. It is kind of watery with a bit of spice. Disappointing offer from Yuengling!
