2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Yuengling Light Lager has a thick, spongy, quickly-dissipating, white head and clear, fairly bubbly, caramel appearance, with no lacing left behind. The aroma is typical for light beer, with its faint sweetness and grain. Taste is stereotypical light beer- watery sweetness, grain, and essentially no hop bitterness, but Yuengling Light Lager has an overriding paper note, which is not a positive attribute. Mouthfeel is very light and watery, and it finishes crisp, refreshing, and quite drinkable. This beer would go well with boiled crabs, steamed vegetables, potato salad, and corn bread with butter, but on its own, it’s not much. I guess it’s okay, though. RJT

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Multiple 12 oz twist off bottles during a Hilton Head trip. The pour is a clear golden amber with a smallish white head. The aroma is a whisper of cereal grains. The taste is cereal grains and a bit of earthy mild bitter hops. Certainly more flavor than a normal light beer. The palate is light bodied, high carbonation level, and a dry clean finish. Pretty clean and inoffensive.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle. It pours an amber color with a Styrofoam like white head. The nose is mild with a hint of malt. A little thin on the palate compared to it’s heavier brother. There is a little malt and a slight stale bitterness, but not much else flavor wise. Meh. Oddly enough, if I’m going for a light lager, it probably isn’t going to be this.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour from a 12oz bottle. Remarkably similar to the very good Traditional Lager, except for a lighter finish and lower ABV.

12oz can, right from the can. Light aroma of grain and some bread. Flavor is very light and carbonated. Easy to drink and not much going on here....decent if nothing else is available. Much better than other mass market hoopla

Grainy smell, its a fucking american light lager, what are you expecting? Gold? No better than a BMC product and don’t kid yourself.
