1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
24oz can. Pours a thin light amber with a nice head that settles into a ring after about 39.3 seconds. Aromas of corn and thAts about it. Thin, generic, light. The only thing this beer has going for it is its color. Meh.

Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a nice golden amber color with a two finger bubbly just off white head. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time to leave some spotty islands of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is light overall, but has notes of a bready and corn nature. There are some notes of a caramel sweetness as well rounding out the smell.
Taste – The taste begins super light and watery with a little bit of a bready taste and some corn. It remains this way throughout the taste with just a bit of graininess and herbs coming to the tongue. With a bit of a paper taste coming to the tongue at the end, a rather light and watery, slightly off flavor to be left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is super light and watery with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. Appropriate for the style with it giving the beer an overall more refreshing feel.
Overall – On the plus side it looks rather nice for a light beer, but other than that well…

Yuengling Light is a step up from "Natty Light" and I happen to love to swill that beer when more than one is needed. YL has a good color and its has a fairly strong aroma for a light brew. It’s taste is mild and does not leave an aftertaste. This is definitely a beer that the lovers of heavier beers should steer clear of. but for those mere mortals who love a cold one while mowing the yard will simply enjoy the mild but refreshing flavor.

Bottle. Nose is light caramel, grain, aspartame. Flavor is mainly caramel and fake sweetener. Not bad for a hot day.

12 oz. bottle at Mynt, the kinda douchey clubby bar on Fountain Square in Cincinnati. Wasn’t here by choice, might as well grab a new rating. Pours a pretty good amber color for the style, with a white head. Notes of pale and amber malts, corn, straw, cereal, and diet tea - like an artificially sweetened, weak tea. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry mouthfeel. The sweetener brings down an otherwise good take on the style.

It has a weird dry finish. Just seems watered-down version of the non-light. Also seems to have a sour palate
