2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a very clear amber/golden with one finger head that quickly dissipates with minimal lacing. Aroma of toasted malt with little to no hop aroma. Medium to thin bodied. Mildly sweet with mild bitter. medium finish that is mildly bitter. Moderate carbonation. What you would expect. Certainly not abyssmal.

Twelve ounce bottle from Western Hills Remke under the name Yuengling Light, tasted on November 22, 2014. Light to medium yellow hue, standard issue old type of pale lager aroma, flavor that’s slightly lighter than Yuengling Premium with a lot of carbonation. Better than Yuengling Light Lager.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can from Kelly. Drunk from the can, so I can’t speak to the appearance. The nose is corn, caramel, and maybe some earthy hops. Sweet, with a minimum bitterness. Light body, watery, and a little malty. Overall, this is one of the better light beers, but hardly "good".

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a light golden color with a big billowy head of a fizzy white foam. The head fades super quickly, leaving a tiny trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of a corny sweet smell mixed with some aromas of a light grassy smell and a bit of a skunky smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a slightly bready and slightly caramel sweetened flavor. As the taste advances the breadiness decays with a sweeter corn and rice flavor replace the breadiness. Some other flavors of a grassy and more papery flavor come to the tongue more toward the end of the taste, with the mix of flavors ending up leaving a crisp, but somewhat bland and dry flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer, for a light beer, is surprisingly heavy (although still light overall) with a carbonation level that is rather high. Oddly, the thicker body was actually fairly decent for the brew, as while the beer doesn’t have too much flavor it doesn’t have too many off flavors either, so the thicker body supports better the lighter flavors of the brew all while the higher carbonation is nice for the more refreshing and crisp characteristics of the beer.
Overall – Well for a light beer, it is kind of run of the mill to slightly above so. Crisper and somewhat refreshing, but lacking of substantial flavor and any real degree of complexity.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Bottle, twist off. Nose of corn, slightly less sweet than their base offerings, slightly less corn coming through as well. Dull, lightly pale golden with almost no visible carbonation, a scant off-white head. Watery medium body with grain and light bitterness, semi-dry with corn and a touch of spice, doesn’t refresh, and the overall effect is much dirtier than even the ’Premium.’

for a light pale lager, far from the worst, but usually priced more like the micros. No thanks. One timer.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
DATE TASTED: December 7, 2013... GLASSWARE: Michelob pilsner...OCCASION: Championship Saturday in the NCAA... APPEARANCE: typical straw-gold body of effervescence; white,, thin head that smears atop the bubbles; streaky lacing... AROMA: high-pitched oat and corn, with some fragrant bubblegum hops--inoffensive... PALATE: smooth, mega-drinkable; gassy, bubbly and brief in its substance...TASTE: astringently malty, thin, with a profile of a sweetened light beer; not memorable or substantial...OVERALL: as Yuenglings go, on the bottom rung; Solo cup filler, but much less a party staple than the original lager...

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a hazy yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about twenty seconds. The lacing was somewhat there as it was messy and all over the place.
The smell had a sweet corn and that’s about it.
The taste was mainly the same thing.
On the palate, this defines light and came across pretty watery. Sessionable? Uhh, yeah it sure was.
Overall, hmmmm...not bad for a hot Summer’ s day to replace water perhaps. But it might just be better to drink water than this.
