There’s a reason he looks so grumpy on the label - the contents of the bottle. If Chesty is on the shelf, look for Trad Lager and buy that instead. bbp182 (255), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Apr 2, 2008 Yuengling’s Lord Chesterfield Ale looks Yellowy, crappy and a lot like piss. Thes mell was horrible, like a dead skunk. The taste is like a corona, but suckier. Horrible. Carbonated water/apple cider. That’s it. BeerFanDan17 (628), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 27, 2008 Very similar to a Heineken. Chesterfield was bitter and slightly hoppy. Samped at the Yuengling brewery on tap in Tampa. TheBeerGod (3177), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Bottle. Skunky slightly hoppy nose. Small white ring of foam. Some rubber comes out through the nose as well. Taste is grassy hops, cereal, flowers and some sweet malt. Body is light-medium with moderate carbonation feel. Surprising from the lack of head during the pour. Finish is dominated with bitter hops and grassy notes with soft floral notes and cereal. One could do better. afireinside96 (842), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 25, 2008 pours a pale gold color with minimal head. signature green glass skunky smell. taste is pretty decent though with a good floral hoppy flavor that dominates. feels more carbonated than it looks. drinkable. you could do a lot worse for the money. amateurBeerfan (24), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 9, 2008 Great aroma. Smells of tons of hops, and almost a pine-like fragrance. Much better than most domestic ale’s. moseslikesbeer (183), conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Updated: Feb 25, 2008bottle. nice pale gold color. this stuff smells bad but drinks smooth. it’s got a strong wheat/yeast taste and a bit of rice or corn too. nice lacing. this stuff is real good for the price. I would rather buy this cheap stuff than a lot of the BIG American co’s. not the best from Yuengling but not one of the worst as whole. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA

I don’t really know why Yuengling produces this beer, and why they spend money marketing it differently...does this style/recipe have some historical aspect that they don’t print on the bottle? Can’t figure it out. Not a great beer.
