Pours clear gold with tall white head. Scent is grain, some skunk. Taste is slight bitter grain with peppery hops. Thin, watery, very mediocre.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2013 Sampled this on the Yuengling tour, but I’ve had it before. Poured a light yellow, large white head cleared quickly. Smelled aromas of grass, corn and some malt. Taste is pretty generic, some hops to set it apart from macro-lagers. I can see this being a good outside beer on hot days. Not so much for otherwise.

Very pretty beer - clear gold with tight white head. Nice hop aroma of fresh cut hay and spicy herbs, but very little malt to speak of. Some graininess, but very little. Balance is too bitter for the style. More malt backbone would be appropriate.

Alright, I poured out a Lord Chesterfield Ale out into my Bama Jelly jar and was pleasantly surprised by how "of the type" (generic bar ale) it was.... it poured a straw hued brew into my glass with a quickly fading white head of foam and a generic ale (hops and malts) aroma. Tastewise, it isn’t bad... but there are much better ales out there.

Sample at the Pottsville brewery pours golden capped by foamy head. Nose is void of aromatics. Big corn meal up front mixed with light malt, alchohol, and enough hops to let you know they are present. Light bodied.

Clear, light golden amber, good ring head, streaks of lace. Light, light malt with clear but understated hops. This has very little flavor and a negative watery finish. Good as a thirst quencher on a hot afternoon, but not good as a brew to enjoy.

12oz. bottle: This one pours a clear, straw yellow color. There was a bit of a white head on it that doesn’t linger long or leave much lacing. Aroma is OK. Bit of an earthy corn aroma with light malts. Taste is OK. Some malts and corn, a hint of lemon, and a touch of bitterness. Not great, but not bad either.
