Sparkling clear, light yellow ale wih a small, fizzy, white head and decent lacework. Smells like hemp and butterscotch... light notes of each. Practically flavorless. Akin to a very water-downed lager. Short, crisp, clean finish. The worst use of 125 cents in recent memory.

Aroma is grass and soap. Flavor is lemony with a hop or 2 in there. What makes this an ale again, is it the golden appearance, the light flavor, or the green bottle? Im not sure. Average.

This beer was an early favorite of mine from Yuengling. Nowadays I never touch it. Biggest problem is the chalky aftertaste, other than that Chesterfield is a nice hoppy ale.

a good ale! looked great poured into a glass, with deep golden clear fluid with very nice white head. WOW....looked great. aroma was malt, sugar and overall good brew smell. tasted good in the mouth, clear, clean, crisp taste. The after taste was not as pleasing.

Pale golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of sugars, hops, light malt and some metal-not that bad! Light-bodied; Flavourful hoppy character with a mild malt finish. Aftertaste shows some metal but also some caster sugar. Overall, a better beer than the traditional lager-good for $1! I sampled this 12 ounce beer purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in Washington, D.C. on 29-December-2003.

clear, pale-medium golden, head is a ring around the edge of the glass. head is cardboard, maybe a hair of skunk (damn green bottle). the flavor is the same with a little butter in the finish.

[bottle] A pale golden color with some carbonation and a fairly decent-sized head. Has a faint hoppy aroma and a distinct hoppy taste. Has a slight IPA taste to it. Thin bodied and not much of an aftertaste.

No malt anywhere to be found. Paper-thin body is only there for contrast, to let the brewers say: look! there's hops in here! The hops weren't repulsive, despite the green bottle, and they actually tasted alright. Problem is, if I had wanted herbalesque mineral water, I would have ordered herbalesque mineral water. Bah.
