Yuengling once again prooves it is king of macro. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 22, 2008 I had this at a JT’s Steak & Ale, Jim Thorpe, PA. Yuengling Promo. It had a minor aroma, with some fruit esters and some hop qualities. It was a golden color, with an adequate head. It was as advertised a zesty aroma of minor hops, some fruit, and some malts. It’s very smooth, making for a nice session ale. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 12, 2008 Out of the four Yuengling brews I tried, this one was my favorite. Poured a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma was a little skunky with faint fruit aromas. It had a noticeable little citrusy taste in the finish, which I found appealing. Pours a clear gold with minimal white head that quickly turns into a thin white layer. Aroma was hoppy skunk, not overwhelming (Why must they put it in green bottle?) Flavor was the same with slight malt flavor. light medium mouthfeel with high carbonation. Not a huge fan of this.... thechandler (271), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Apr 22, 2008 Pours a medium golden color. Aroma is barely there, but smells crisp and dry. Flavor is a little hoppier than I imagined, but otherwise, not much. Maybe a slight bit of yeast. Not too big on this one, but its not terrible. I’ll stick to my Yuengling Traditional though.
*edit* As I continue drinking, I like it less and less. Far too watery, and now the only thing I can taste is hops. Not that it’s SUPER hoppy, but for a beer with as little flavor as this has, the hops stick out a LOT. changeup45 (808), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Funny, when I had this I had no idea Yuenling made it. Not a horrible beer. Golden colored with a thick white head and quite a bit of lace. Very light bodied and smooth. Aroma? I didn’t really detect much of anything, maybe a little musty. The flavor is basic, very fresh tasting with a mild hoppy note and a little sour. Very springy or summery. Not hard to drink a lot of these but there isn’t much too it. One complaint was that it was a little skunky... now I mean very little amount but I felt it needed to be mentioned on a side note. Green bottles, which I have no idea if that contributed to that or not. keepersj12 (825), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 10, 2008 A Heineken clone is what hits me. Not too bad but nothing great. Beautiful pour though. ELab2 (38), USA
