2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a dark orange, caramel color, right for an Oktoberfest. Nice big light tan head that lingers. Nose of sweet malt with just a hint of hops. Smooth mouth feel. Very light taste, mostly up front, not much in back. It’s a pleasant beer, but it’s missing something, I just don’t know what.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle This is good looking beer with complex flavors. The beer poured a clear copper-amber color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a white collar. No lacing down the glass. The aroma of caramel malts. The mouthfeel is brisk and balanced, with soft malt flavors and a flash of hops bitterness that lingers. The medium body beer had average carbonation. The finish was clean with a slightly toasty ending. One of the better marzen style beers this year. this marks my 1100 rated beer.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle to glass. Pours a nice rich orange / caramel color with a decent head that dissipates quickly. The aroma smells tart / watery, and it’s somewhat overcarbonated. Tastes similar to lager, but with a slight spice / sweetness. Not bad.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle @ home, courtesy of BlackIPA (I think). Thanks. Pours a touch hazy, dark burnt orange appearance with a thin khaki head. A bit metallic, strong caramel malty, grassy, artificial aroma. Somewhat spicy, vanilla, rich caramel, toasted malty, corny, lightly fruity flavor. Jesus, this just tastes like Coors Banquet Oktoberfest with every corn note and metallic note offered. Fuck you.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Clear brownish / amber color with generous white head. MIld aroma of caramel hops and a little grass / earth. Some metal or slightly off element in the aroma. Taste is mild sweet caramel, hint of toast, and a somewhat under-hopped grassy finish. Tastes like Yeungling Amber Lager with a little more malt but no more hops. Nice enough.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Appearance: pour is a tad watery--color is traditional amber and orange, short, half-hearted light tan head. Aroma: caramel, cereal, bit of mineral water and wet cardboard. Taste: light flavors--mainly slightly sweetened, toasted cereal grains, with a bit of caramel. Finish: clean and gone before you know it. Notes: Similar to, but not as good as, their amber lager. I almost think they took their regular amber, added some orange coloring and upped the toasted malts a titch. Barely ok.
