From a bottle. Pours clear medium brown with a thin white head. Tastes very much like sweet corn and malt, kind of syrupy. Medium body and carbonation. Smells like sweet malt and corn syrup.

Bottle. Pours clear dark copper with fizzy off-white head. Aroma is cereal and caramel malts, light fig, faint earthy notes, and some toast. Flavor is sweet bready malts, dark fruit esters, faint hops, and light corn; dry finish. Light/medium body and medium carbonation.

Jesterdeal (1789) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Aroma of caramel malt, corn. Pours amber with a nice head. Taste is really streamlined with corn and caramel malt. Sweeter than the lager but just okay.

Patrickctenchi (3401) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 28, 2013
Clear, bright copper with a creamy tan head. Aroma is breadheel and caramel. Toasty flavor..grain...a little nut. Mild, a little bland, but ok.

Thin at first, then building to a malty taste that still lacks punch. Bland finish. Rather disappointing overall.

Elwood (3022) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - AUG 26, 2013
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a nice copper color with a decent off white head. It has a slightly metallic aroma with a slight breadiness. The flavor has stale earthy notes with bit of fresh mushroom, bread, and club soda. Thin, watery body with a bit too much carbonation. Not a very good interpretation of the style.

nearbeer (3586) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 24, 2013
12 oz. Clear shiny copper with a lasting quarter inch of foam. Nose is sour-sweet dry grass and earthy, toasted grain. Taste is the same as the aromas with some corn and mildly tart apple thrown in, and toasted nut on the dryish finish. A hint of a metallic note in the long finish. Mouthfeel is a bit light. Malty as per the style, but fairly balanced. Smooth, average level of carbonation.

Dogbrick (7585) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 23, 2013
This beer is a clear copper-amber color with a medium thin white head that dissipates quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, caramel and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Pretty much exactly what you would expect a Yuengling Oktoberfest to be. Average overall.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 15/20
PapaSkeetSkeet (806) - Corvallis, Oregon, USA - AUG 14, 2013
Amber with yellowing white head, thin and somewhat fine. Aroma of light caramel and wheat bread. Slightly sour grass. salt. Body is medium-light, a tad bit syrupy. Medium, unobtrusive carbonation. Flavor is lightly metallic bit of caramel, herbal grass. hint of soap. A refreshing, light example of octoberfest.
