Do my eyes deceive me? Does that say "Yuengling Oktoberfest?!" Um, yes, please! 12oz bottle poured into a conical pint. Pours a tawny dark rusty amber with a small sheet of lace atop. The nose is fruity with notes of banana, stawberry - though faint at that. Toffee and caramel sweet aromas round this out, with a touch of ethanol. A different aroma, but not offputting. Smooth clean mouthfeel, that begs to be gulped. Spot-on carbonation gives the beer enough girth to satisfy me. Sweet caramel and toffee flavors, light fruity back end. Bready finish. Alcohol adds just enough zip to bolster this beer. A total malt-heads dream. Really a good beer. I expected to find some major flaws in this, but I couldn’t really find any. A well-made beer, perfect for the cooler months ahead.

Bottle at inlaws. Pours orange with fine enough head. Light nose of caramel and hop. Tastes of caramel, bread, metal, earth, and some hopping. Watery palate.

People are going to knock this brew for being a Yuengling but truthfully, its a darn decent marzen interpretation, showing requisite malty toasty notes with dialed back hops, just enough to balance. A sporting 2 finger head is nice and rocky, but short lived. Aroma is on the weak side with a bit of malt and perhaps some noble twang. On the lighter side in terms of body, but still within style guidelines. Not great but far from bad.

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head. Aroma is of some hops, caramel and fruit soda. Body is medium and astringent. Astringent hops, caramel malt and some grain fill the mouth. Finish is long and unpleasant. The brew to avoid.

Pours a clear amber/copper with a creamy head. Bready aroma. Aqueous, but decent for a macro.

Pours a clear copper with a one finger off white head. Aroma is so nice, sweet and malty. Mild carbonation in the mouth. Taste is similar to Lord Chesterfield until backend aftertaste. Not the best Oktoberfest, but still a good one. Has a bit of a skunky original taste with a sweet backend. Pretty good.

This poured a darker orange with a white head. Aroma was of caramel malt, grass, and metal. Flavor was caramel and grass. Slightly better than reggie yuengling .

This beer smelled sweet, malty and delicious. The flavor was... saddening. Too much of a stale hop presence among a not-so-balanced malty profile. It went down smooth, but the after taste only got worse. Not a great example of a great style at all.

>> Thank you Griffin for the beer! Pours a clear amber with a weaker grayish head. Weak, spotty lace. Brown sugar nose with sweet honey bread. Taste is soap and dish water. Heavy mouthfeel of old walnut and bread crust. Soapy, suddy hydrogen peroxide finish. Very unpleasant, but somehow it was consumed without complaint. Quite poor for this style.

Draft at Milkboy. Clear medium-light copper pour with a nice frothy white head. Pretty much tastes like a standard Yuengling with maybe a bit more malt presence. Nothing to write home about but worth a try.
