3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very sweet and malty nose. Dark orange appearance is very attractive. Malty caramel/munich malt. They nailed it with this one. True to form and tasty and with the cooler nights I know Oktoberfest is coming soon.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
From a bottle. Pours clear medium brown with a thin white head. Tastes very much like sweet corn and malt, kind of syrupy. Medium body and carbonation. Smells like sweet malt and corn syrup.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle courtesy of Coldbrewky. Thanks. Pours a dark amber-red color with a small off-white head that quickly recedes to a fine ring. The aroma is fairly non-distinct with a trace of sweet grains. The flavor is loaded with sweet malts, roasted barley, molasses and brown sugar. The palate is full and smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes medium in duration and dry. Overall: Pretty decent Oktoberfest, I’d drink the hell out of this if it were available locally.

12oz bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel malt, and slightly nutty. The taste is on the sweet side with caramel, and a slightly burnt aftertaste.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Wegman’s. Pours clear brown with a small head that dissipates pretty quickly. Aroma is a little toasty but not really interesting. Taste is pretty interesting.. has some good maltiness and is overall a really nice Oktoberfest. Impressed by the local.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer had plenty of potential, with a beautiful, dark amber pour and a fairly thick tan head. The aroma was very inviting, too, with plenty of caramel malt, lightly toasted bread and a hint of crisp hops. But that’s where the good traits in this beer end, unfortunately. The head doesn’t leave much lacing around the glass. The flavors aren’t very well balanced, with some sour notes toward the finish. I did get some toasted malts and light hops, but the sourness really overshadowed the good flavors. I really didn’t expect a whole lot from this beer, in the first place, and it aligned fairly well with those expectations.
