2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a deep brown with a minimal tan head. Aromas of roasted malts. Taste has a dominant roasted malt flavor with some chocolate coming through. Nothing complex but also rather easy to drink on. Doesnít really fit the label of being a "black and tan" but comes off as a decent porter or black lager style.

Back in MA. Tap at Grill Next Door. Pours meduim amber with a beige head that rings the glass. Aroma is caramel, a touch of smoke. Taste follows nose. Slight mineral in the finish. Thin, drinks easy. Will be a go to beer at places that donít serve "craft".

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Slightly less carbonation with richer, deeper hop flavor than regular Yuengling lager. Nice dark amber color. Slightly heavy, lingering hoppy finish. Much better than your average American mass produced bottle beer.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle @ home, courtesy of Boooosters. Thanks. Pours a fairly clear orangish brown appearance with a brown head. Caramel / toasted malty, light chocolate, mild cardboard aroma. Slightly metallic and a bit stale. Burnt sugar / caramel, herbal, light chocolate flavor. Not the most cellarable beer in the world.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Strong aroma of sweet malt, caramelized molasses, fades quickly. Ebony black in color, tan head disappears quickly. Sweetness in front is very pungent. Sweet chocolate, malt, and hints of toffee at the end. Finishes fairly smooth for a porter, not much bite, a bit watery. Average.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This was a gift from a friend. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma doesnít have that typical porter smell. It really smells like a Yuengling Lager, which is really weird. It has a bitter taste at first, roasted malt and just slight coffee notes. Thereís no real bitter backend, as it gets smoother all the way down. It also seems to have that patented Yuengling Lager aftertaste. Not what I expected. Itís decent but not great.
