A little lighter (in flavor) than the porter, but still nice. Since it’s a blend of porter and Yuengling Premium, you don’t have the hoppiness that comes with some other brands (or a real B&T).

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at Gettysburg Eddie’s in Gettysburg, PA. This is a brown colored beer with a tan head. The aroma is slightly sweet with some coffee and malt notes. The flavor is full of malt and some caramel. A nice black & tan.

Completely off the rails from the beers I’ve been reviewing. Slight caramel note in the aroma. Dark brown to black appearance with a khakis colored head that doesn’t last long. On the heavier side of bitter. Full-bodied beer with a creamy texture. Nothing about this beer is overwhelming. Balanced well. Instead of the lawn mower scale, I will compare this beer to Matthew McConaughey’s performance in True Detective: dark but extremely well-done.

Pours black with a khaki head. Head retention is ok. AROMA: dark roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, molasses, brown sugar, spices, herbs, herbal hops and dark stone fruit. TASTE: dark roasted malt, bitter chocolate, herbal hops, spices, creamy and molasses. AFTER TASTE: creamy, spices, malt and molasses with and oily light finish.

I used to drink this from bottles for a change of pace when I was transitioning to non crap beer. It?s OK by mass market standard.

Bottle. Dark sugar nose, with light roast malt, rather sweet. Dark translucent brown with ruby highlights. Thin sweet dark roast malt, cola, minimal hopping. Thin-medium body. Decent and sessionable, but not very interesting.

16oz can. Dark brown color with one finger beige head. Caramel, a little malt aroma. Taste is similar, slight coffee. Okay beer.

Pours dark brown with a thin tan head with just a little lacing. Aroma is of caramel, sweet malts, lightly roasted malts, coco, and some light coffee. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium-light body with a semi watery mouthfeel and a mostly sweet, medium-short finish. Overall, a below average, but drinkable porter.

Strong caramel scent, very malty as well. Flavor is somewhat sweet but is an overall good porter. Not my favorite style but this is a good one. Surprised I liked this as much as I did ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark brown with a medium tan head with substantial lacing. Smell of bread, coffee and nuts. Taste of caramel, nuts, and a slight smokey flavor. This is very smooth for a dark brew, and as much as I like their traditional lager I’ve been waiting a while to try this. Definitely going to add this to my typical go to list!
