jainsv (112), USA Dec 21, 2006 Dark brown color with a tan head that’s somewhat thin. Nice aroma, smooth going down. A little malty and dry. Not as good as the porter but a solid brew by the yuengling company.
joebudzjoe (100), Connecticut, USA Aug 19, 2008 For it’s price, it’s pretty darn good. Smooth and creamy, sweet and malty with a wet palate. Not really a porter, but nothing complicated, but pretty good. Necron99 (6), Clermont, Florida, USA does not count Aug 17, 2008 Aroma is a light malt/roasted smell. Dark appearance with a light brown head. Very toasty malt and slight coffee flavor with a slight bitter finish. Overall, a good beer for the price, and is very easy to find. Not really suited for long drinking sessions, and only available near the East Coast. Crumpler (1), Suffolk, Virginia, USA does not count Aug 17, 2008 Less expensive Dark beer with a full flavored filling taste. The best in my opinion of the Yuengling line of beers. unclemike (327), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Aug 17, 2008 Light malt aroma. Dark red molasses colored with a light tan head. Full frothy mouth feel. This classic has a full caramel flavor with a slight caramel after taste. Very drinkable. Disappears quickly. If I were stranded on a desert island with only one beer, this would be it.
Steinface (63), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 15, 2008 I haven’t had too many porters, but I hope they all don’t taste like this. Not a fan. Its drinkable if very cold, but you should not have to force yourself to finish any beer
