The name must be Yuengling’s idea of a joke, as there is nothing premium about this. On par with Busch or High Life, though one of the better junk beers, if that means anything. It’s beer, it’s cheap, you can drink a lot of it and get drunk, if you want to. What do you want? It is cheap/average American macro swill, no hops to speak of, with plenty of fizz and some metal and corn. Yuengling makes some good beers. This is not one of them. Not the worst you’ll find, but I won’t buy it again.

Nothing special, but it’s decent enough for session beer. Pounding a 12 pack of these on a Saturday is easy enough.

Bottle at party with no alternatives. I think Yuengling lager is over-rated but this "Premium" beer was worse. Distinct sweet corn taste with no hop presence whatsoever. I could not finish the bottle.

This is a great beer for long drinking sessions. Much less filling than the lager and the taste has much less edge, so it goes down faster too. On occasion I’ll grab a case of this if I’m going to a party.

Bottle. Poured clear light golden color with a medium frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate balanced sweet aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with an average beer.

Don’t know why it’s called "premium" unless they mean you save a premium cause it’s always less expensive than Yuengling Traditional Lager. You can taste the difference, mostly through the lack of substance and ingredients.

12 oz bottle. It pours a pale gold with a short lived fizzy head that doesn’t leave any lacing. Usually the one thing macros get right is the appearance, not this one. The smell is pretty bad even for macro standards, old sock, corn vomit, cardboard, and rotten fruit round out the smells. The flavor is also incredibly weak. It is sour with a nasty corn note, some water, and a slight bit of hops. Watery mouthfeel, bad aftertaste. This beer sucks.

12oz twist-off bottle. Dark yellow, no head. Lots of fizz. Aroma of corn & cardboard. Flavor is of pale malts, Seems to be an ale version of the Original Lager. Not as good.
