Pours a light golden color. Smell is of malts, corn. Taste is crisp, malty, a touch of sweetness. Overall considering the price, a pretty good beer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Originally reviewed: 4/1/11. Can - poured half into a pint glass, drank the other half right from the can. Pours a crystal clear, straw-yellow. A big frothy white head rests atop though. Minor lace. Nose is average for the style, some graininess, faint lemon zest, mildly floral. Crisp, clean mouthfeel. Light and easy to drink. Buttery breads, faintest of bitterness, mild citrus. This really reminds of Coors Banquet, which I like. Extremely drinkable and not all that bad. Has more flavor than its peers for the most part. Perfect summer gulper. Thanks to woodychandler for this toss-in in a surprise box!

Not a bad beer. It has a floral aroma with decent flavor. A good beer for lounging around and watching a game.

2.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Nothing special with this one. Only thing it has goin for it is the lack of metallic taste that most premium brews have. Solid session brew.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fresh, somewhat floral armoa. Can looks as though its best served in a dark dive bar. Tangy, starchy and perhaps corny tasting. Lightly sweet, straw malt flavors, a little wort/malt/molasses at the end. Not very bitter. Flabby mouthfeel - it has mass, but not much structure. Loses carbonation. Circle K.

Tourney sideline tick - thanks, Rim! It’s actually a bit difficult to tell what, beyond the label, is different from regular old Yuengling. Of course, it is a bit more BMC-ish so this screams over-compensation. Did the trick though.

The name must be Yuengling’s idea of a joke, as there is nothing premium about this. On par with Busch or High Life, though one of the better junk beers, if that means anything. It’s beer, it’s cheap, you can drink a lot of it and get drunk, if you want to. What do you want? It is cheap/average American macro swill, no hops to speak of, with plenty of fizz and some metal and corn. Yuengling makes some good beers. This is not one of them. Not the worst you’ll find, but I won’t buy it again.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: JUL 17, 2012 Nothing special, but it’s decent enough for session beer. Pounding a 12 pack of these on a Saturday is easy enough.

Bottle at party with no alternatives. I think Yuengling lager is over-rated but this "Premium" beer was worse. Distinct sweet corn taste with no hop presence whatsoever. I could not finish the bottle.
