COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hallertau hops and Bavarian-style top-fermenting yeast deliver a thick, creamy head with overtones of banana and clove esters. This authentic German weizen style beer, with a slight hazy appearance, concludes with a crisp finish.

Pours a hazy color more orange than yellow with a good head. Aroma is banana, clove, wheat, orange, spice. Taste is similar, sweet banana, wheat, weak citrusy orange, very weak clove compared to the nose. Very crisp and refreshing, nothing huge in any one flavor component. Good balanced beer, could session it in the summer.

5/23/15. 12oz bottle from Five Points. Hazy golden pour with a small off-white head. Whoa on the aroma, I didnít realize this was a hefeweizen when I bought it... I see that now. Anyway, cream, banana, light spice, mostly banana, some butter. More butter in the flavor... I didnít notice it so much at first but as Iíve gone through the bottle, itís there. Lots of banana, some cream, light spice. Rough around the edges, diacetyl. Meh.

(bottle - 12 oz) Hazy gold pour with a puffy white head. Big banana aroma with some very light wheat underneath it. Flavor matches. Lots of banana and wheat notes with a hint of clove at the back end. A bit watery and not much else.

Poured a hazy orange colored. Had all the features of a wot - orange peel, spice, wheat, but was way to papery and almost minerally. Not smooth at all. Pass.

I have been looking for this brew since college. WV Brewing Company in Huntington, WV brewed an almost exact beer in the late 1960ís and early 1970ís. They closed the brewery in the 1980ís. Glad to enjoy the taste again

Pours a hazy light orange with a white head. Nose is strong on yeast. Body is wheat creamy but not as heavy cream as some. The taste is banana with a light crispness. It is a well rounded lighter version of a wheat fitting well in the Yuengling style.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden with long lasting, foamy, white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of wheat malt, spices and bananas. Body is light and smooth. Taste is similar to aroma. Finish is long and fruity. Not bad for Yuengling.

Hazy orange colored body, medium sized white head, spotty lacing. Orange rind, wheat, light clove, a decent bit of banana, light cracked pepper. Medium to light bodied, smooth, gentle carbonation, light sweetness. Clean.
