Hallertau hops and Bavarian-style top-fermenting yeast deliver a thick, creamy head with overtones of banana and clove esters. This authentic German weizen style beer, with a slight hazy appearance, concludes with a crisp finish.

Pours golden with a slightly amber cast against a slight haze. Very nice head and lacing retention is good. Very good nose of banana, clove and bubblegum. Light medium body with a smooth texture. Normal carbonation, with a touch of effervescence on the finish. Quite nice flavor profile that is well balanced with typical Weizen complexity. Banana leads then flows into a slight clove spiciness over a light biscuit. The finish is crisp and leaves you with a lingering banana/clove aftertaste over a hint of hops. While not as intense as Allagash White, for the price point, this one is world class. Great job Yuengling and congrats on the Gold.

Bottle at max’s home. Pours a light golden body. Aroma is light malt, wheat and grain - but super faint overall. Bland. Mouthfeel is thin and over carbonated like soda. Light bodied, kinda boring and bland.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Hazy amber pour with a small white head. I was surprised to smell some clove in the nose along with light wheat notes. Soft on the palate with gentle carbonation. Nice yeast and wheat notes with a hint of clove and banana. The finish wasn’t as crisp as I was hoping, but this is certainly better than middle of the road.

12 oz. Bottle purchased at Julio’s Liquors. The yeast has a authentic German feel. Light banana and pale malts. The flavor and aroma are a damn near mirror image.

Body has a solid amount of pale grain, honey with banana bready flavors. Body is way lighter than a true German Hefe but it does display the nice yeast characteristics that the style should have. Very easy to drink if you love the style. Funny, I wish I had bought a few bottles instead of just one. It is an easy drinking warm weather brew.

bottle picked up from the local publix. pours golden, think white head. taste has some clove upfront, mild wheat. as it warms clove dissipates in favor of some faux banana candy. light body, a tad too over carbonated. actually pretty decent tho and I am glad I grabbed the six pack.

Bottle, screw-top. Nose is heavy banana ester and overheated bubblegum, very sweet. Hazy golden pour with avg carb and a sudsy white head. Taste sweet and grainy with almost none of those HW aromatics, but does have sunny citric malt with equal parts vanilla and honey. Crisp and refreshing medium body, ah, there’s the bubblegum in the finish. Wheaty without much typical ’yeast’ flavor, though the metabolites have been saved. Not bad, would get the job done in the summer.

Finally, a chance to try a bottle of this. Been seeing it around but just could get my hands on it. Sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Pour does look like a typical hefe. Smells like a typical hefe. Yes, the taste is like a mild hefe. Well done, good hefe character without being one sided. Decent flavors and aroma of banana and bubble gum fer sure and it never gets in yer face. Really good co2 also. Yes, very good example of an American hefe. well done yuengy! Much better than I expected. Easy going finish. No real ill effects here. One of the better domestic beers that approach the real flavor of german hefe.

This was solid. Hazy golden beer with a thin, white head. Aromas of wheat and citrus. Tastes of orange zest, wheat, banana, and some lemon peel. Semi-sweet citrus finish is a bit soapy. Extremely refreshing and quite enjoyable.
