Hallertau hops and Bavarian-style top-fermenting yeast deliver a thick, creamy head with overtones of banana and clove esters. This authentic German weizen style beer, with a slight hazy appearance, concludes with a crisp finish.

Bottle to wheat beer glass. Pours a hazy yellow with a nice white head that dissipates in a moderate rate. Nice nose of grassy notes. Tastes a little hoppy bitter with similar grassy, lemon notes. Not bad.

Its OK. I bit too phenolic for my tastes, the clove is strong, banana is there too. Lacks the spritely character of better examples. And if you just want to swig out of the bottle in summer heat, itís weird, be better off with a lager.

Not bad. Crisp and drinkable, but lacking somewhat in the body I expect from a wheat beer. Passable.

355ml bottle. Hazy yellow with quickly fading two finger white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, cloves and yeast. Taste is the same with wheat, yeast, banana and cloves. Medium mouthfeel, light carbonation and slight yeasty banana aftertaste.

Decent summer easy drinking beer with great history being made by Americaís oldest brewery. Itís very light and has no bad aftertaste

Flavor starts nice with clove, banana, toasted malts and spice before it takes a strange turn to cloying super sweet malts and stale fruits. Pale and medium duration overstays into the finish bringing an unpleasant palate and I donít want to drink anymore of these. Gets way old halfway through the case.

Pours a hazy golden orange. Aromas of bread/bananas/ and some fruit. Had a taste of yeasty bread with some spice. Not as clove/banana as most Hefs Iíve tried.

Hazy golden appearance. Minimal head with no lacing. Banana bread and clove on the nose. Tastes is more banana with cloves coming through with some taffy and a hint of yeast. Moderate carbonation with a dry finish. Crisp and refreshing. Hits all the right points to be a nice German Hefeweizen and for the he price, you absolutely canít beat it

A pretty standard summer wheat beer. Itís a good offering, and it beats other offerings like Shocktop and Blue Moon out of the water.
