COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An iconic American lager famous for its rich amber color and medium-bodied flavor - with a roasted caramel malt for a subtle sweetness and a combination of cluster and cascade hops, this true original delivers a well-balanced taste with very distinct character.

(#56) 12oz bottle. Decided to pour it into the tulip glass for the hell of it. Appearance: Light amber in color, transparent. Not much of a head as expected. Aroma: Wheat and cereal grain. Some light skunk aroma. Somewhat similar to a Bud or Coors light. Taste: A bit of what I expected. Nothing major but can see how it is easily drinkable. Not much flavor significance to note here. Light cereal, hay, bread with a slight roasted flavor. Palate: Light bodied of course. Smooth and effervescent. Not a bad mouthfeel I suppose. Overall: Nothing special, mainly wanted to try this just from all of the hype I have heard over the years. Acquired bottle from an acquaintance in the military. Only available from the midwest to the east. Seems like it could be a good beer pong beer. Happy to have finally tried it here.

Will I ever find a lager I kinda like? I mean, when I’m at a bar, playing pool, this is the best by far of some options that make me give the spontaneous "stink-face". Best part of this beer is its appearance. Honestly, it’s the color of a bud bottle with a mild ruddy hue. Little, but lingering head. Not off putting wheaty/caramely but typical sour wift on the backside. We just go further downhill when we get to flavor. Tolerable, when you’re in an environment that requires beer. Sweet malt, then sour-ick. Oh brother. I’m tired of writing about this beverage. Basically, the least of all evils at this bar.

A pint sized can. Pours amber with a thin head. More malt character then I thought it would have. Not a bad beer,I am pleasantly surprised. Easy drinking.

This is a great lager, but not a great beer. Pours amber with a moderate had. Easy on the palate, but not too huge on the flavor.

An apple orange color with an off-white head that quickly fades. The aroma is full of sweet and caramel malts with a bit of yeast. The flavor is the same, along with a crisp malt aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not a bad color..clear orange pour. Sweet and sticky malt backbone. Some spices as well. Better from the bottle or can than draft.

This beer is a sad testament to the state of lager brewing in the USA. Better than other industrial brews - yes...an outstanding lager - no way.

A cut above your typical, boring American lager. Grain, malt and yeast taste. Decent.

24 oz can courtesy of a co-worker. Thanks! Pours a rich glowing amber hue with fiery golden orange glow. Some gentle haze, lively carbonation, and a frothy offwhite head thatt sits atop, sticks around a bit and laces as a firm small layer. Aromas are bready malts, biscuits and grainy malts mix with touches of floral and earthy hops. Gentle spice, bready yeast, dough. Mellow sweetness as it warms a bit with that twang of spice and dryness up front. Initial is lighter bodied offering mellow bready malts, cereal grains, and touches of biscuits. Offers some mellow dryness, touches of spice, earthy hops. Gentle yeasty spice into the middle and backend. Clean and enjoyable as it gets a touch sweet and doughy, bready in the middle. Finish leaves a touch of prickly dry hops, carbonation, and spicy hops lingering on the palate. Pretty enjoyable if not simple. I dug this. Solid lager in line with Sam Adams.

Beautiful pour. Crystal clear, golden amber with white head. Great lace, tight bubble, very effervescent. Light, toasty malt, slightly sweet aroma. Very little hop presence. Some slight perfume aroma. Taste generally follows. Well balanced and very drinkable, but very little hop flavor.
