3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2005 Yuengling= the best cheap beer out there. Plain, simple, but very drinkable. Amber in color, small head. Aroma is sweetly hopped, mixed with malts. Flavor is plain, but crisp and drinkable.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
America's Oldest Brewery? Hmm. Stinker. Amber color with weak white head. Grainy, grassy aroma. Thin body and a watery, skunky taste. Totally forgetable.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hands down the best American beer I've had and my favourite. It has a complexity in its palate that only deepens with familiarity and nostalgia and will not most likely be fully appreciated or experienced with the first try. Yuengling is a classic and one of my favourite beers from the world over - not just America.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
In the Pennsylvania and New Jersey area, can't be beat for price vs quality. The beer I usually drink when out at bars.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice amber colored body, darker than your normal macro lager. Some caramel and hops in the aroma. Light bodied and lacking flavor overall, but some notes of caramel and a subtle malt nose gets this one more points than Bud.

1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pushes the borderline between macroswill and microbrewery. Mix a Bug Light with a high-quality brew, and I'd expect it to taste like this. Probably good to give as gifts to friends that haven't yet disocvered beer beyond BMC, but don't bother buying it for yourself.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2005 This pours a decent looking pale amber color. It has a small, fake-looking white head. The nose is weak, but pleasantly grassy. The tastes are very grassy, earthen, natural, and watery, but they are strangely also syrupy and lightly acidic. This fits most any low budget occasion, and it HAS, believe me, - keg after keg - to varying degrees of satisfaction.
