COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An iconic American lager famous for its rich amber color and medium-bodied flavor - with a roasted caramel malt for a subtle sweetness and a combination of cluster and cascade hops, this true original delivers a well-balanced taste with very distinct character.

A friend brought down several cases from Virginia (to NC). It’s fantastic! I own a bar in NC and will carry it when we get a distributor in this state. A top quality beer!

This is the only beer my Dad and I can agree on. Very German, nice old-fashioned color, as good a price as you can get for something drinkable... Nice stuff.

An overrated beer. Slightly unpleasant taste with a distinctly unpleasant aftertaste. Not much better than Bud.

Yuengling for me now is like peanut butter and jelly when I was in grade school. Simple but great.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2003 Very good regular ol' American lager, but of course a hell of a lot better than the mass market swill, dark gold color, doesn't keep all that great of head, but very smooth & very drinkable, this is the beer that the fellas pound while we're having a good time whether it's out or we're just stayin in, the cans are actually a little bit better than the bottles, the drinkability & smoothness improves for some reason out of the can

The main thing that keeps me coming back to this beer is the taste. A friend of mine tried it and said it tasted like a mid-priced steak, which I thought was unusual. However, in some bizarre way, it kinda does this lager justice. I agree with the previous reviewer though, that it does have a strange, lingering aftertaste. A better than average beer, especially for the price.

My family has these massive Irish-American reunions where folks come from all over and a Pennsylvania cousin made a hit with this stuff; even those among my family’s bud die hards could recognize the jump in malty complexity. There’s a suspicious aftertaste, though.

The default beer in this area. We Lancaster residents are lucky because this stuff is worlds beyond Bud, Natty Ice, etc. Deep amber color, actual hops in the taste, though not much. Great party beer.
