1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: APR 5, 2003 This beer has all the best characteristics of several other bland american standards.
Appearance = Coors Extra Gold.
Aroma = Coors Light
Flavor = Somewhere between Budweiser and Original Coors.
Palate = Miller Light
This is "America's Oldest Brewery"? I guess this is a testament to the average American's affection toward flavorless beer brewed with lots and lots of adjuncts.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2003 1st rating was from having had this in a bar. A lot of people get all worked up over this for some reason. Decent amber appearance, solid white head, faint malty aroma. A step above the BMC lagers with a bit more of a hoppy bite to it and good for quenching thirst at tailgates etc. - Original Rating 3.7 Very impressed for an American lager - worth buying a six pack. Clean, crisp with no pretenses.

For a lager, this isn’t bad. It reminds me of another beer, but I can’t put my finger on it. It is a pretty easy drink, but it didn’t quite match the hype that it gets here in WV.

Nothing special about this beer really. Its a solid lager, better than Bud or Miller or any of that crap. When in Pennslyvania, its often the same price as all the cheap beers, so it becomes quite worthwhile to order in that situation.

One of the classic drinking beers. Light but not water. Has flavor yet you can drink it for hours. The deviding line between real beer and the stuff they call beer.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2003 One of my favorite lagers. Smooth, yet flavorful. Yes, it could be maltier, but it's a lager, folks! It's true to its style. Bit too fizzy, though.

Decent, but I give it a little more credit than it’s due since it’s brewed locally, annoys me because locals think dark amber beer is Lager, since Yueng. is a bit dark colored
