Nice amber color, kind of a weird, "off" aroma - sometimes smells kind of skunky though it doesn’t taste it. Being from PA, it’s everywhere and a lot of bars just have it, and the usual Bud, Miller, Coors next to it on tap - Yuengling Lager it is. maniac4016 (114), bill clinton, Iceland

In comparison to other pale lagers, Yuengling has a little more to offer in terms of taste. It was cheaper than Bud when I bought it, and it is far better. A good beer for watching a ballgame. fishingnet (1047), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Bottle @ the Tampa Brewery and fresh off the bottling line. Pours a clear light amber with a one finger white head. Aroma of pale malt and a hint of caramel. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. The beer off the bottling line was one of the best lagers I have ever had, I’d score it a 3.9, but once it hits the store shelves it loses most of its wonderfull flavor. A good beer for the price. zappafan99 (463), Ascension Island

Aroma: A little skunk, faint yeast and caramel. Taste: Mild candy sugar, spice and a watery mouthfeel. Very weak finish. Nothing too foul. O.k. for my friends to drink. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 19, 2008 Draught. Pours golden brown with a thin slightly creamy white head. Aroma is faint, what’s there is a bit of toasted malt. Taste is toasted malt, hint of caramel, no hops presence worth noting. Mouthfeel is light to moderate carbonation, watery body. Fulfills its role as a session macro-lager, a notch above BMC industrials. Rogueone (506), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 17, 2008 Draft @ Tampa Airport: I think you know what you’re getting here -- it’s no finely tuned craft beer, but what it is is refreshing, crisp, and has a depth of flavor that doesn’t quite reach MUCH past macro brews but just enough that it’s an easy choice over the Bud, Miller mess of choices. Very lightly toasted caramel malt, bit bready, with a barely-there hop on the back end. We do not have this available in Ohio, but I wish we did. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2008 Pours a deep golden brown with very few bubbles and not a lot of head. Looks like a beer and not apple juice like many other lagers. Very faint malty aroma with an even fainter hint of fruit. Smooth tasting with little aftertaste. Not very bitter, definitely tastes like a beer. Ultimately, Y. is an American macro that’s drunk more for texture (fizzy) and temperature (cold) than taste
