COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An iconic American lager famous for its rich amber color and medium-bodied flavor - with a roasted caramel malt for a subtle sweetness and a combination of cluster and cascade hops, this true original delivers a well-balanced taste with very distinct character.

Whenever I’m in regions of the country that carry this shit I go ahead and drink it. Most likely for some sentimental, experiential, unquantifiable reason. Sorta like how I’ll drink Ballantines if I’m in NYC. Anyhow, this beer is more or less really nothing to write home about. I’m happy for them that they’re ’family owned’, but it’s not like I feel particularly sorry for families that are already rich as fuck anyway. LIke, I’m SURE that whoever owns this shit is a millionaire, so lay off the touchy feely attempts to mess with my emotions over beer already. What I will say is that this beer DOES NOT suck, and that whenever I drink a dozen of them I have a headache that is way worse than if I drink a dozen natural lights, despite the two beers having comparable abv. the end.

The color of this beer is so deceiving, since it’s an amber color, you would think that this beer will not be watery, but it is watery, so I assume, and there are rumors that this brewery is using lots of caramel color or FD&C red #40 artificial food coloring to deceive their customers into thinking that they’re drinking a richer or fuller tasting beer, which doesn’t taste better than other beers that are even lower priced than Yuengling TL. The taste of this beer, well, how should I put it, if you drink Samuel Adams Boston lager and then pee it out, then your piss will probably taste like Yuengling Traditional Lager, but, oh well, to each his own.

Draft. Copper color with a small beige head. The taste was light caramel malt. Very easy to drink.

Amber, hazy. Medium body, moderate to assertive flavor, spritzy, low alcohol heat, long palate. Bitter, off-dry, Intensely hoppy, resiny, yeasty. Very interesting, a good surprize for a lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Copper pour. Sweet malts, corn on the nose. Taste is the same and pretty watery.

Out of all the domestic swillish beers, Yuengling is probably my favorite and most drinkable all around lager. It’s pretty affordable too (especially when on sale), so I’ll get it every now and then for economy beer....but mostly the porter or black and tan. This beer is just about average all-around, ok for lawnmower, beach, or day time party.

On tap. Tan with a thin head. Slight straw aroma, skunky taste. A step above other macros at its price, but certainly not to be confused with craft beer, whatever the brewers association says

On tap. This was just an okay vienna lager. I’ve had much better and I really didn’t enjoy this one.
