Trdnuggets (8), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA does not count Oct 8, 2008 Not much in aroma, the appearance is a clear brown color and taste has a bit of sweetness to it, not at all bad. A huge step up from "Budweiser" or "Miller", it’s something you can drink a six pack of in one sitting. Pailhead (2323), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Oct 6, 2008 Bottle: The aroma is lightly sweet with some hints of apple and light grassiness. It pours a transparent amber with a half-inch off white head that lasts about thirty seconds before fading to a small film. The flavor is moderately sweet with some light apple. Really lacking in the finish...maybe a hint of nuttiness? No hops to speak of. Light bodied with some moderate and soft carbonation. The best thing to say would be drinkable and thirst quenching. Better than other macros? Yes, but nothing worth seeking out. mcjay (84), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA Oct 5, 2008 Updated: Oct 6, 2008Deep golden color with a medium white head and nice carbonation. Strong cascade hop and slightly skunky aroma with a pale but smooth flavor and a hint of caramel malt. Basically just an upgrade on the traditional american lager. kseecs16 (576), Westmont, Illinois, USA Oct 3, 2008 Pale golden, smells almost identically and tastes almost identical to Budweiser. Almost no white head. Mettalicy smell, little palate and only lingering taste is astringent.
3 3 4 2 gax33 (11), Minooka, Illinois, USA Sep 26, 2008 As far as standard American beers go, this is so much better in taste than Bud, Coors, etc. For this price, added to the novelty of drinking the oldest beer in America, what a deal! Can’t go wrong here.
