An iconic American lager famous for its rich amber color and medium-bodied flavor - with a roasted caramel malt for a subtle sweetness and a combination of cluster and cascade hops, this true original delivers a well-balanced taste with very distinct character.

A friend brought down several cases from Virginia (to NC). It’s fantastic! I own a bar in NC and will carry it when we get a distributor in this state. A top quality beer!

A pale lager that kind of actually resembles a beer! Decent body, pour, & aroma. It actually isn’t watered down but certainly doesn’t carry a flavor explosion. It’s passable & that’s more than I can say about the majority of this style!

24oz ghetto can. Clear bronze color with ivory head. Caramel, toast, sulfur, oil refinery aromas. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Weak sweet caramel, toast, malty flavors with a lightly drying bitter finish___it is what it is.....

Bottle: pour is honey gold with a modest white head into this glass. It retains fairly well. The nose is light adjunct , moving to caramel, honey nuttiness, with a mild grassy note. The flavor profile is bittering grassy hops, with lively carbonation presence, with mineral water, adjunct, caramel malts, with a faded finish. It’s well...what I expected

Pours a deep golden with a medium, fizzy, white head. Aroma is corn and malt. Flavor is better with hints of grain, caramel, and light hops. Light body with medium carbonation. Not bad for the style.

America’s oldest and most overrated beer. Caramel colored water with some sweet corn and a little bit of acidity. Look elsewhere.

Average beer. Good for someone who lives in Michigan and isn’t accessible often. Nice cheap beer.

Smelled, viewed, and consumed from a bottle (if I had asked for a glass in this establishment, I may have gotten my butt kicked). Standard lager fare, better malt flavor than most, refreshing.

bottle poured a yellow color with white head. again its a pale lager and for the aroma is mild malt and little hop action. flavor is pretty much pale lager style..though not offensive just not all that flavorful. it did have some caramel notes in it. I am sure its brewed to style but just not my cup of tea. I mean beer.

Not terrible. Fairly typical for a large-brewer beer. Better than what’s available from the mega-brewers. On tap with dinner at Joe’s American in Boston, MA.
