COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An iconic American lager famous for its rich amber color and medium-bodied flavor - with a roasted caramel malt for a subtle sweetness and a combination of cluster and cascade hops, this true original delivers a well-balanced taste with very distinct character.

Being from PA ive had more lager than any other beer. This is the best tasting lager for the price, around $20 a case. You don’t get a corny cheap beer taste with this beer. When it warming slightly you can taste the caramel malt. Of course there are better, more expensive lagers out there but for slightly less than the BMC’s out there you can’t beat it.

Bottle. Deep amber color. White head; some minimal lacing. Some malt and corn aroma; some skunkiness. No hop aroma. Front end bite with some malt and a good bit of corn sweetness; hops minimal other than some bittering hops. Sweet corn and carbonated finish. Much better than other domestic adjuncts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours pale yellow with a thin off white head which fades to just a little lacing. Aroma is of grainy cereal malts, bready malts, toasted caramel malts, and some light grassy and piney hops. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium-light body with a semi watery mouthfeel and a semi dry, slightly bitter, medium-short finish. Overall, a classic america lager that is very good for the style and a good backup beer when going out to non-craft beer bars in the Philly area.

Bottle: It seems like everyone in Michigan LOVES this beer (I’m talking my psuedo-craft friends & family) & always talks about how great it is. Why? Probably because they had to drive to Ohio to get some, so that somehow makes it taste better. Truth is, it ain’t much different than your run or the mill macro lager. Slightly bigger bready & grainy profile with a hint more earthiness. But still a largely overstated DMS component & a huge skunky aftertaste, thanks to the UV-porous bottles. Don’t be fooled.

Salmoniform (678) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - SEP 11, 2014
Poured from bottle to glass. Honey hue with fizzy white head that diminished to a ring. Aroma is straw, cereal, agave, honey, slight sassafras. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium light body and zesty carbonation. Taste is dry sweetness throughout with a mineral- like finish. Overall this is a so so brew.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- had a toasted malt with a hop / citrus blend? Appearance- a dark yellow with a slight head. Taste- an enjoyable lager for me. i liked the malt and the mild bite aftertaste. Palate- I think this is a medium bodied lager with a thin texture and a slightly bitter finish. A real good beer for a rather large production.

Aroma of weak malts. Has an okay copper body with a fast dying head. Flavour is fruity malts and nothing else. Watery on the mouth. an okay darker beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted from draft. Pours a clear gold with white head. Aroma is sweet caramel and grains. For a pale lager it's pretty tasty. Probably the best pale lager I've had and way better than other macros. Flavors of sweet caramel and toffee creating a moderately sweet beer with minimal to no detectable bitterness. Very good for its style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had this at Harry Buffalo. Pours a amber with a white head. Taste sweet, Carmel. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
