An iconic American lager famous for its rich amber color and medium-bodied flavor - with a roasted caramel malt for a subtle sweetness and a combination of cluster and cascade hops, this true original delivers a well-balanced taste with very distinct character.

My first rating...Looking forward to using this site to learn more about beers, enjoy more types of beers, and obviously rate more beers. This is a solid, enjoyable beer for me. My ratings will get more descriptive as I continue along with this process.

Pours a light amber. Isnít anything truly special. The palate is somewhat bland. Itís a cheaper staple beer suitable for cookouts, etc.

I forgot I never rated this. Some light Malts but otherwise mediocrity incarnate. Really.

12 fl bottle present from the USA-Pennsilvania,the color is a clear dark orange with a large white head that fades somewhat guickly and the aroma blends caramel and bread malts with dough yeast.

12oz can. Pours a clear caramel with a thin head that fades to nearly nothing. Aroma has hints of sweet grain, and faint glances of traditional hops. Taste is balanced and mild. Grains, traditional spicy/earthy hops, and a short aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation. Clean and refreshing in the mouth. Overall very standard and non offensive. Not that good but drinkable by all.

It pours like Yuengling and smells like it too. Itís not "craft". But itís the oldest brewery in America goddammit. Drink it and like it!

On cask at a well known Florida theme park. Surprisingly good. Itís copper coloured with a decent head. Light body with good carbonation. Malts supply caramel and toffee while the hops give a touch of apricot.

NOTES - perfectly average beer, pretty good for a lager. Itís heritage speaks volumes.

A mid Amber coloured beer with a weak white head. The aroma is light, floral and fruity. Dry mouthfeel. The taste is quite fruity and floral, the fruitiness giving a touch of bitterness that the floral hop balances out, with the help of a background maltiness. A short finish. Draught @ Arthurís, Hoboken, New Jersey.

It is what it is. However, if I'm going to have a traditional lager this is the one I'm having. Pretty good for a Pilsner type lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My first job after college I moved to philly area a place Iíd never been and knew no one. My boss told me this was the beer all Pennsylvanians drank Iíd never heard of. 12 years later my father inlaw stocks this plenty and I always drink a few and finally decided to rate after probably hundreds of them under my belt. Light Brownish pour. Nose is grassy some malt. Tastes of malt, grass, caramel, cardboard. Thin watery.
