Outstanding beer. My personal favorite "go to" beer. Medium dark lager, with light aroma and a nice head on tap. Slightly skunky hops note with clean malt tones and a marvelous finish. Stays clean with no sour or sweetish overfill. Canít get over how easy to drink and delightful this beer is. Best American commercial brew out there.

T: Sweet malts upfront. Slightly sweet taste. Notes of corn and cardboard. A bit metallic. Moderate bitterness. Grassy hops profile.
M: Light body and moderate carbonation. Malty and a bit grassy aftertaste.
O: Medium drinkability. Not impressive Lager

This beer is a lager. Itís not meant to be special. Itís meant to be your every day beer. For that purpose it is one of the best in the world, in my opinion. Many people expect something exotic now that it has reached the vast reached of the USA. Others feel it has the watered down effect of mass production. Those are the same people who think every microbrew is a good beer. Actually, most american microbrews are mediocre at best but continue to receive inflated opinions by naive drinkers who dont know better. This beer, however, is an American legend for serving as the best plain íold lager in the country.

Surprisingly good for a regular logger of its elk has little bit of taste to it but still overall suffers from the mass production

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. can. It pours a clear amber color with a fizzy off white head. Way darker than I thought it would be, almost more of an American dark lager or Vienna in appearance. The aroma has some corn, hints of raw dough and high boost. The flavor is flabby, doughy and has some old cardboard. No hops. This should be much drier for what it is, and honestly, I would probably take a few BMC lagers over this one. Not really offensive, just drab, pointless stuff.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle poured into a hard plastic cup at my sisterís wedding. Clear amber with off-white head. Aromas of skunk, grains. Tastes of light skunk, grains, subtle citrus. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium-high carbonation. Not something Iíd drink normally but if I were somewhere with only this and BMC products, Iíd choose Yuengling.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Deep amber color. White head; some minimal lacing. Some malt and corn aroma; some skunkiness. No hop aroma. Front end bite with some malt and a good bit of corn sweetness; hops minimal other than some bittering hops. Sweet corn and carbonated finish. Much better than other domestic adjuncts.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours pale yellow with a thin off white head which fades to just a little lacing. Aroma is of grainy cereal malts, bready malts, toasted caramel malts, and some light grassy and piney hops. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium-light body with a semi watery mouthfeel and a semi dry, slightly bitter, medium-short finish. Overall, a classic america lager that is very good for the style and a good backup beer when going out to non-craft beer bars in the Philly area.
