Bottled. Skunky, no head, clear, flavor impossible to discover, no finish; did I have a bad bottle? I mean, a lot of you top raters liked this sludge and I tend to trust you; but this was worse than Bud if you ask me. Iím getting suspicious of cult mainstream lagers/light ales, Iíll tell you!

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Head is initially small, fizzy, off-white, fully diminishing. Body is clear light amber. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, cereal), with a note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Undrinkable macro clone. Oh, and for what it's worth...purchased cold and seemingly fresh in a bomber-size brown bottle.

Bottle at a wedding- I hate this beer, and donít understand why people like it so much. Super weird malty aroma and flavor. No discernable hop character. Begining to taste adjuncts in it, which is not strange considering its recently found popularity. Gross.

Stange stange stange. Skunky hops pulling in one direction and weird malt in the other. Extremely floral hops in taste and aroma, just didnt seem to make sense to me...

This is bullshit to drink after having Old Rasputin Stout. It is extremely thin and like water.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2007 Pours amber with white creamy head. Aroma is light and malty. Flavor is also light, slightly hopped, mostly sweet malt. Better than most macros, but thatís about it.

Opaque copper color, small foamy head. Smells like wet cardboard...sweet wet cardboard. Very watery, light, light hop flavor, very carbonated feel. Taste like sparkling Miller Lite. Humm, I no think I like this one.

Pours transparent gold. Has the typical pale lager smell, fermented malt and a slight touch of non-descript noble hops. Taste is nothing new or special, pretty straightforward grains with a mild (extremely mild) hops twinge at the end. Iím glad Americans have become better at brewing beer from these humble beginnings.

I grew up on this beer, but it seems that when they went national, the taste was lost and every one I have now tastes as skunked beer. D.G., PLEASE bring back the old recipe. This is not just my opinion either, as many of the people around my area agree...something was changed.
