COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An iconic American lager famous for its rich amber color and medium-bodied flavor - with a roasted caramel malt for a subtle sweetness and a combination of cluster and cascade hops, this true original delivers a well-balanced taste with very distinct character.

Poured from a tall boy, golden with white head. Smooth, crisp medium bodied light hopped with stronger malts, good tasting.

Bottle: It seems like everyone in Michigan LOVES this beer (I’m talking my psuedo-craft friends & family) & always talks about how great it is. Why? Probably because they had to drive to Ohio to get some, so that somehow makes it taste better. Truth is, it ain’t much different than your run or the mill macro lager. Slightly bigger bready & grainy profile with a hint more earthiness. But still a largely overstated DMS component & a huge skunky aftertaste, thanks to the UV-porous bottles. Don’t be fooled.

Poured from bottle to glass. Honey hue with fizzy white head that diminished to a ring. Aroma is straw, cereal, agave, honey, slight sassafras. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium light body and zesty carbonation. Taste is dry sweetness throughout with a mineral- like finish. Overall this is a so so brew.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- had a toasted malt with a hop / citrus blend? Appearance- a dark yellow with a slight head. Taste- an enjoyable lager for me. i liked the malt and the mild bite aftertaste. Palate- I think this is a medium bodied lager with a thin texture and a slightly bitter finish. A real good beer for a rather large production.

A clean tasting lager, clean finish. Nothing pretentious, a decent choice whenthere are no more exotic choices available.

Aroma of weak malts. Has an okay copper body with a fast dying head. Flavour is fruity malts and nothing else. Watery on the mouth. an okay darker beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted from draft. Pours a clear gold with white head. Aroma is sweet caramel and grains. For a pale lager it's pretty tasty. Probably the best pale lager I've had and way better than other macros. Flavors of sweet caramel and toffee creating a moderately sweet beer with minimal to no detectable bitterness. Very good for its style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had this at Harry Buffalo. Pours a amber with a white head. Taste sweet, Carmel. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. Pours an amber color with a white frothy head with some lacing. Aroma is typical kind of pale lager. Definitely not as bad as some of the other offenders. Fairly refreshing, and doesn’t have the same overwhelming wet cardboard aroma and flat taste. Basically my go-to macro.

Understand at $7 a 6 this is the best bang for your buck lager. Crisp easy, slightly skunky on the nose but not much at all in the taste of the beer itself. Generic Lager, crisp finish, plain taste of pale malts with light hops. Doesn’t give bad hangover like Bud as its made of Barley and Hops instead of Rice and Corn. America’s oldest brewery and still family owned, please support Yuengling. Maybe it gets over-hyped sure but it is not a soulless corporation like In-Bev or Miller-Coors. I’d rate it better than Sam Adams Lager but put it up against Bud, Coors and Miller (all the same price) and it blows them out of the water. Support this quality American product if you want something easy drinking cheap and good and please stop shitting on it because its not Founders KBS and your Granddad acts like it is.
