From America’s oldest brewery:Here’s why I rated this one so high. Everyone probably thinks Im crazy. I am not calling this the best beer I ever had, but it’s a good refreshing everyday beer. It’s light and easy to drink. Not over powering and really better for a hot summer day when you come home from work Not really a meal beer. You won’t say "wow! ", you’ll say, nice beer, affordable and Im gong to get some more.

Sep 2, 2008 Tap. While I am from PA, I have always been surprised that this beer is so popular. Appearance is nice with a dark color and average head, but the flavor is a bit heavy for a lager. While much better than mass produced lagers, needs a bit more aroma and palate to be considered a top-notch beer.

Sep 2, 2008 Updated: Sep 3, 2008Pale light amber color, but darker than most lagers. Malty, sweet, bready aroma and light fruitiness. Sweet light malt caramel flavor, a touch of light fruit, a little metallic, some slight floral hoppiness. Light, bitter, sweet finish with a heavy corny/wheaty flavor. Pretty refreshing. beats the pants off of any other macro lager any day of the week.

Aug 28, 2008 A tad more hoppy than the average american pale lager. Mild sweetness with a bready flavor. Medium body. Hard to find a better beer for the style.

Aug 26, 2008 12oz bottle from local supermarket. Pours a dark amber color with a thin head. Little lacing. Aroma has notes of sweet malt, grain, hay, grass, maybe some bread. Flavor has some mild sweetness, malt, grain, bread and a touch of sweetness near finish. Generally light to medium body with a slightly unpleasant finish. As stated by clingman71, this beer is one of the drinkable of this style.

Aug 24, 2008 Draft. I must begin with stating that I hate this style of beer. That being said, this was one of the least objectionable that I have tried. I was in PA on a family vacation and tried this on tap at dinner. It has a grainy/bready aroma that is a bit more substantial than the big macros. Flavor is slightly bigger than said macros, a little toasted bread, but nothing to get excited about. Not complete crap however.
