Pours a deep clear amber color with a white foamy head. There is a lot of grainy straw sweetness to the aroma. A hint of fortune cookie? The taste is some sweet and simple, a little malt, a dash of hops, a touch of adjuncts. If I’m going to drink inexpensive pale lager, this is usually what I turn to. It has a place in my heart because it was my go to in many pinches before I really got into beer.

Draft @ Tampa Airport: I think you know what you’re getting here -- it’s no finely tuned craft beer, but what it is is refreshing, crisp, and has a depth of flavor that doesn’t quite reach MUCH past macro brews but just enough that it’s an easy choice over the Bud, Miller mess of choices. Very lightly toasted caramel malt, bit bready, with a barely-there hop on the back end. We do not have this available in Ohio, but I wish we did.

Pours a deep golden brown with very few bubbles and not a lot of head. Looks like a beer and not apple juice like many other lagers. Very faint malty aroma with an even fainter hint of fruit. Smooth tasting with little aftertaste. Not very bitter, definitely tastes like a beer. Ultimately, Y. is an American macro that’s drunk more for texture (fizzy) and temperature (cold) than taste

Lagers always scare me, cause they usually dont deliver much of anything. This brew is really above and beyond most lagers that Ive had. It looks hazy golden and actually has some depth of flavor.

Much better than your standard American Pale...not even close. German Pils...not quite, but compared to the local standards this beer excels. Great appearance, nice mouthful, and a decent taste. Actually a hopnote and a nice, albeit, relatively malty note. Wake up and taste the new national pale.

On tap in Dulles airport, waiting for my delayed flight. Nice head on an amber body, decent retention but little lacing. Aromas of biscuity malt with a light hops offset. Flavors were similar - rich and full. Slightly watery texture, but in general a light to medium bodied beer. Not what I would consider a finely crafted beer, but far superior to any macro.
