COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The drink starts with a mug displaying a deep bronze colour, but the beer is crystal clear. The head is an abundant fine mousse (pronounced 'moose' for the cabin crowd), cream coloured and just spilling over the rim of the glass (if you got the good waitress, Yukon trained and all). As you raise the mug, your senses catch the fine aromas permeating from the glass, clean malty sweetness touched by spicy hop esters. The first draw of the ale cools the parched lips and moistens the cheeks. Full malt body takes over the palate; not sweet, but bold, fruity and persistent. A snap of clean hop bitter grabs the back of the tongue and springs into the sinus cavity, blending with the caramel flavours that have wafted back with the nectar that is this ale. But the swallow goes down clean, almost dry, and leaves only a slight lingering presence of the abundant flavours that were just there, and now gone! Many more draws on the mug, many more mouth-filling flavour experiences, and always that clean finish, saying "How about another?!!".

Second beer at Giorgio’s. Klondike road race brought me to Whitehorse to visit. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a semi dark red color with a bar pour of no head. The smell was a dark caramel malt with a rounded out bready toastiness running in and out on my nose. The taste was mainly malty with a decent back up bready nuttiness running here and there over my taste buds. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sessionabiity about it. Decent carbonation leads to malty smooth aftertaste and a rather dry finish. Overall, decent red ale that does everything it needs to for the style. I’d have it again.

Well this was a pleasant surprise. Nose is decent but not great: light grain/bread and toasted malt. Taste is the real surprise. Richly toasted malt, hazelnuts, caramel with a surprisingly crisp finish. Really smooth and quite drinkable.

Thanks to my friend Nic for bringing this back from his trip to Edmonton. Pours a hazy deep amber colour with a creamy-foamy beige head, good retention and bubbly-creamy lace. Caramel malt nose with some fruity notes. The is nicely balance between the caramel, nutty and fruity malts. Some light hops are present as well. I forgot about this one for year, but I am surprised it still holds up.

Sweet malts, a little nutty, some minerals, grassy, earthy hops. A touch over carbonated, mouth feel was a little over active. Finish was medium bitter, caramel finish with earthy, grassy, slightly pine resin hops. Pleasant.

Poured slightly reddish with a white head. Smelled fresh, with some pleasant crisp hops on the nose, along with some nice mellow malt. Taste was crisp and clear also with the maltiness coming through nicely along with subdued hop flavor. Very smooth and easy to drink. a nice surprise, i thought overall.
