2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle (1 litre, looked bigger). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev - tupalev’s bottle. Poured hazy/cloudy gold with a whole flock of tiny white and black floaties, a white rocky head. Aroma of grain, honey, sweet malt, oats and bland dried herbs - slightly sour yet also sugary and dry, some faint stale hops. Taste follows, just toss in a pitchfork of scorched straw. Mouthfeel is dry and fairly flat - overall a pretty bland, grainy, sweetish beer that at least smells a little interesting.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
1L bottle obtained in a trade with Presario, shared with GregClow, Hogtown Harry, and Blankboy. Hazy dark yellow, lots of floaties, small white head. Nice ginger, yeast, citrus, herbal, kool aid, sugar aroma. Mild ginger like taste, refreshing, but rather bland. Short, rather odd sweet finish - it didn’t end well. A good first half followed by a not so good second, this was nonetheless an interesting concoction. Thanks Presario.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a clear golden color with small floaties and a thin white head. Boring aroma and flavor of malt with herbs. The palate is light and watery. Interesting herbs in a boring beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
1 L flip-top bottle. Hazy yellow colour with a frothy white head. Lightly herbal, minty aroma with caramel notes. Lightly minty and caramel flavours, otherwise pretty clean. Light bodied, creamy, but a touch watery.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Body is quite hazy, pastel yellow with a small fluffy white head. Very interesting araom - touch of caramel sweetness and something that reminds me of candy of some kind. Peppermint or candy cane was the closest I could come up with. Lingering aroma impression is unsurprisingly quite herbal. Flavour is less impressive, witha light herbal flavour echoing the aroma but with much less intensity. Light palate is almost watery at times. Quite nice to try.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Liquor store ordered the stout and got this new beer instead. I was excited to see another experimental beer from Yukon. Orange colour. Light foam and lacing. Aroma maybe lightly herbal but more metallic. Flavour is not a great beer. More orange flavours than herbs and a metallic finish. Reminded me of a mild orange herbal cough drop.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer pours amber ( and a bit cloudy) with a fairly nice head that disspates quickly. The taste is plesaing with a variety of herbs, the strongest taste that I picked up was a honey, but there are also spruce notes. However, the taste is deceptionally mild, kind of like a weaker wheatbeer. It has a bit of sugar in it as well.
We tasted a variety of beers at the Yukon Brewery, however, they wouldn’t uncap this one for us. It comes in a one liter bottle, and sells for 8.95 CAD. Not bad, but I probably wouldn’t drive to Whitehorse just for this beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very dull light bronze colour. Big, herbaceous aroma. The only one I get for sure is rosemary, but I think there’s several different herbs used. Maybe sage, too. Sweetish flavour, again with lots of herbs and a subtle background maltiness. Not particularly well-balanced and the base beer is crap but it’s effective.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
1 litre-swing top bottle. Golden colour with a thick white head. Very sweet fruity aroma. Not any specific herbs that I can pick out, but I get loads of cherry and blackberry aroma, some sweet herbs. Light malty flavour but this is definitely mostly about the herbs. Flavour reminds me of Ninkeberry. I enjoyed it. Very different brew.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(1 litre swing-top bottle) Pours a medium, cloudy, non-dissipating white head with a lightly carbonated golden body. Nose is rather lactic with floral, corn, straw and nail polish tones. Flavour is mildly phenolic. The herbs and a limp corn fill-out the flavours. Its definitely an interesting Hippie-drink. Many thanks to Mark’s northern friend for the opportunity to taste this rarity!
