COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The lighter beer of our two offerings, this ale was designed to be an almost "non-ale". It is golden in colour, brilliantly clear, and clean across the palate. The mix of 4 malts still provides subtle character in the body, and the addition of malted wheat provides a slight, but characteristic citrusy finish. Hopped with noble Saaz and Golding, the bitter is barely perceptible, but mild hop flavours linger in the after-taste; the dry, clean finish provides a refreshing perk at the back of the palate. The full package mimics the classic milds of the British Isles, with a bit of Yukon spirit, just to make sure you remember what part of the world you're in!

Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Not much is going on here ! [20140315]

@ The Lets do a Chris O tasting. Pours amber, some grass on the nose but nothing else. Bland taste other than bread/yeast heavy bread like lager, not for me.

Its a good beer. Probably the best beer North of 60 in are great country. I lived in Whitehorse YK and we used to go to a bar called Skyjackers and drink Yukon Gold in what they called Thundermugs which were schooners. Great fond memories of the people I met there and the beer I drank. There is nothing abrasive about this beer its clean and light on the palate. Many enjoyable sessions can be had drinking this.

Gold pour, white head. Nose is malts, earth, grain, and water. Thin palate, wet cardboard, grain, malts, not too appealing.

Can, courtesy of SHIG – thanks! A vigorous pour yields a finger of foamy off-white head atop a dark gold (closely resembles honey) body. Nose is sweet, malty, and light grass. Tastes sweet too. Malty, grass, and corn syrup. Just a little grassy in the finish to give it a light crispness. A little more body than most in this style. I found it to be refreshing.
