The lighter beer of our two offerings, this ale was designed to be an almost "non-ale". It is golden in colour, brilliantly clear, and clean across the palate. The mix of 4 malts still provides subtle character in the body, and the addition of malted wheat provides a slight, but characteristic citrusy finish. Hopped with noble Saaz and Golding, the bitter is barely perceptible, but mild hop flavours linger in the after-taste; the dry, clean finish provides a refreshing perk at the back of the palate. The full package mimics the classic milds of the British Isles, with a bit of Yukon spirit, just to make sure you remember what part of the world you're in!

This is a very malty ale...but well done. On the pour...the nose was 99% malt.Nice colour..light Amber and gold with a off white head. On taste...not near as malty and boring as the nose would indicate.Well balanced to the side of malt ,but smooth and mild.Just enough hops to finish the beer neutral dry. Light carbonation and loots of grain make this beer a malt lovers paridice..this would be a good beer for someone coming off of Molsen or Kokanee. It a nutshell ...this is English pale ale Canadian stlye..light and inoffensive. in flavour.

650ml bottle from LCBO. Clear deep golden body, medium white creamy head with good retention. Aroma of malts, caramel, herbs, berberis candies. Clean taste: malts sweetness, candies, a touch of herbs. Mineral aftertaste. Decent.

Bottle from the Barton LCBO. Pours a golden copper, fluffy white head, that dies down to a very thin film, some small island spots. Nose is cereal like. Tastes much the way it smells, grainy, a touch bitter. Not bad, just nothing special.

pours unclear bright gold with a disappearing white head, no lacing. lager toastiness, cheap caramel stench commonly found in strong macro lagers, faint fruitiness - white grape juice from concentrate and sweet potatoes, grassy and spicy, pekoe orange tea, salada-like *TM, fusel traces, clean yeast. light to low carbonation - lacking, light body - oily; balanced grassy-spicy finish. blah.

Was a little disappointed in this but will be heading to the Yukon in the near future. Hopefully a brewery tour will show me better beers.

2015/05/04 - Pours a clear orange rust colour with a thin, foamy, off white head that quickly reduces. Aroma is doughy, with a hint of caramel and some earthy tones. Taste is bread, some light caramel and earthy hops. Pretty watery. Mouthfeel is thin with average carbonation and a long, earthy aftertaste. Pretty boring. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear golden colour with modest white head. Aroma is bread, sweet caramel and a little fruitiness. Flavour is also quite bready, with some earthiness, light caramel and a little sweet fruit. Carbonation on the lighter side. Perfectly drinkable but nothing memorable.
