The lighter beer of our two offerings, this ale was designed to be an almost "non-ale". It is golden in colour, brilliantly clear, and clean across the palate. The mix of 4 malts still provides subtle character in the body, and the addition of malted wheat provides a slight, but characteristic citrusy finish. Hopped with noble Saaz and Golding, the bitter is barely perceptible, but mild hop flavours linger in the after-taste; the dry, clean finish provides a refreshing perk at the back of the palate. The full package mimics the classic milds of the British Isles, with a bit of Yukon spirit, just to make sure you remember what part of the world you're in!

This is a very malty ale...but well done. On the pour...the nose was 99% malt.Nice colour..light Amber and gold with a off white head. On taste...not near as malty and boring as the nose would indicate.Well balanced to the side of malt ,but smooth and mild.Just enough hops to finish the beer neutral dry. Light carbonation and loots of grain make this beer a malt lovers paridice..this would be a good beer for someone coming off of Molsen or Kokanee. It a nutshell ...this is English pale ale Canadian stlye..light and inoffensive. in flavour.

After being selected to be a driver for the Klondike road relay race, I made my way to Giorgio’s and had this on tap in a pint glass. Though dead tired, here’s my take on this. The appearance was a semi-clear golden yellow color with a nice transparency seen and letting a brisk carbonation to be seen rising. Bar pour yielded no head. The smell was a light sweet corn maltiness and a slight quick semi-sting of bitter citrus hops. The taste was mildly sweet corn and the hops tend to disappear. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed good for the style and for me. There’s a nice smooth sweet corn aftertaste that led to a sweet dry finish. Overall, good blonde ale by a new company to me. I’m willing to try more.

Pours a pretty but indistinct light amber. Nose is mostly wheat with a bit of toasted nuts and bread. Taste is the same with a tiny hint of the noble hops on the finish. Not terrible but not great

Typical canadian golden ale. Tastes of barely anything. Slight grains, next to no hops. Regular mouth feel and carb. The finish is barly a notch above water, slight sweet malts, no hops. Good god, this was boring.

[ As Yukon Gold ].
Clear medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, light grain, light grass - floral. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Not much is going on here ! [20140315]

@ The Lets do a Chris O tasting. Pours amber, some grass on the nose but nothing else. Bland taste other than bread/yeast heavy bread like lager, not for me.

Can at Craig’s. Pours clear golden yellow, thin white head. Aromas of grassy hops and lemon. Taste is much the same, with light bready malt. Light bitterness on the finish. Not bad.
