When it’s quitting time around the brewery the team can often be caught snagging a pint of this British style malt forward IPA. We call it Fog-O’clock and it’s becoming a bit of a Yukon trend! Unlike the hundreds of other IPA’s out there, we’re not going for the “hip and hop” award with this brew, going over the top with bitterness. It’s a session beer for folks who appreciate an IPA with balance.

Pours the color of a nice ripe peach. No head at all on my pour. Aroma is a bit flowery and hoppy. Tastes of hops, malts, earthy tones too. All in all a decent beer.

Middle of the road ipa. Thanks to reimer for this. Pours golden with a moderate white top. Aroma is pine hops and a small vegetal and medicinal. Taste is somewhat stale pine hop bitterness with grainy malt backing.

Not enough hops for this hop head! Lots of malt but more of a PA then IPA.

I malty ipa with subdued hop bitterness. A very enjoyable beer but I do prefer more of an American ipa with more up front hop flavour.

Bottle, 5.4%. Clear golden amber pour with a weak, white head that bubbles away to a ring. Aroma is strong with hoppy overtones, not citrusy, but earthy, floral. Taste is more of the same, dry hops and roast malts dominating the flavour, with a hint of sweetness. Definitely a british style IPA, not cascadey in the sli Finish is dry, but balanced and satisfying. Delicious.

Bottle - Grains and tea. Gold and no head. Grains and some nice bitterness. I would consider this a nice English bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a nice peach colour. Nice sweet citrus and honey aromas. Similar malty flavours with a fairly mild hop finish

Pours a deep yellow color with a very small, dense white head. Aroma has a mild grassy presence with some light orange citrus and a modest grainy malt presence. Flavor is good but there is a bit of a skunk to it my opinion. Malt is a bit more of a presence than you typically see in an IPA. Body is light and pretty fizzy with some light dryness and a great lacing left on the glass. Overall a decent brew and I understand where the brewer was going. Not a lot of weakness but lacks some of the "umph" to make it an IPA and less of a Pale Ale.
