3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. A dark golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of straw, hops, yeast, and a bit of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, yeast, straw, and hops, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Beautiful golden color; medium sized head. The aroma is too simple, maybe a tad grainy; the flavor is a bit better, with some malt and hints of toffee; round mouthfeel; but overall, although it has a correct bitterness, it lacks in hop qualities.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hop aroma is mostly whats apparent in the nose but itís not really strong or anything. There is a bit of a metallic twinge and itís all very big and soft. Pours with a decent but not too big for the style head, also has a darn good colour to style, golden amber with red hues in the thicker parts. Nice sweet malts meet the tounge and are gradually and evenly met by hops which fade out slowly and show the % for a moment or two before closing it up and out. This is a really smooth drinking and stylistic IPA. Kudos.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured a slightly orange tinted golden with a thin white head. The head was short lived and left some spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma was floral and a little fruity with some citrus from the hops. Not very assertive. The taste was led by a little caramel from the malts and finished with citrust and earthy hops. It was light to moderate body with moderate carbonation. This was a fairly understated IPA but good nonetheless. As far as Canadian made IPAs go this one beats numerous others Iíve tried.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Review from very early in 2010... maybe even end of 2009. Poured out a thin off white cap with tiny spots on my glass and a standard hazy amber look. The aroma was a downer with some caramel and light citrus and some floral with nothing taking a stand. Yea, that bites. The aroma was straight forward and left no lasting impression. Light and lacking. Taste: light caramel, weak hops for a craft IPA but still, this beer tasted decent enough and is worthy of a stay in the summer cooler. Thin. More of the same. Not feeling this beer even if I could drink a dozen in an hour then puke in my BBQ later on.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Has an okay slightly foggy amber-orange body with small but solid head on top. Aroma is lemon and grass, slight skunkiness. Flavour is lemon and bread with almost no hops, and a dry finish. This is drinkable, but far far less than I expected from an IPA - itís a Pale Ale that is in serious need of some India.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep golden pour with a white head. The nose is lightly hoppy with a kiss of grapefruity citrus character. A little bit of light yeast-derived fruitiness as well. Earthy hop bitterness on the finish. Moderately bitter but the balance is decent. A touch of light caramel mid-palate that adds some sweetness. As it warms up the bitterness picks up quite a bit. Itís pretty tasty stuff.
