COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When it’s quitting time around the brewery the team can often be caught snagging a pint of this British style malt forward IPA. We call it Fog-O’clock and it’s becoming a bit of a Yukon trend! Unlike the hundreds of other IPA’s out there, we’re not going for the “hip and hop” award with this brew, going over the top with bitterness. It’s a session beer for folks who appreciate an IPA with balance.

Another one courtesy of Per, and another thanks :). Golden body. Sweet fruity, jam like malty nose, light aroma hop. Bready malt base, sweet, again faint aroma hop, herbal notes too. Watermelon. Gets slightly salty near the finish, not much bitterness from the hop, Slightly yeasty, balanced, without real flaws, ok, boring.

Bottle 34,1 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear golden with an off-white head. Sweet fruity nose with a citrusy nose. Medium body, fairly sweet malts and fruit with a citrusy edge and a heavy yeastiness. Dry and somewhat hoppy finish. But not really the most sophisticated IPA. 260911

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of straw, hops, yeast, and a bit of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, yeast, straw, and hops, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Beautiful golden color; medium sized head. The aroma is too simple, maybe a tad grainy; the flavor is a bit better, with some malt and hints of toffee; round mouthfeel; but overall, although it has a correct bitterness, it lacks in hop qualities.

Hop aroma is mostly whats apparent in the nose but it’s not really strong or anything. There is a bit of a metallic twinge and it’s all very big and soft. Pours with a decent but not too big for the style head, also has a darn good colour to style, golden amber with red hues in the thicker parts. Nice sweet malts meet the tounge and are gradually and evenly met by hops which fade out slowly and show the % for a moment or two before closing it up and out. This is a really smooth drinking and stylistic IPA. Kudos.
