COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When it’s quitting time around the brewery the team can often be caught snagging a pint of this British style malt forward IPA. We call it Fog-O’clock and it’s becoming a bit of a Yukon trend! Unlike the hundreds of other IPA’s out there, we’re not going for the “hip and hop” award with this brew, going over the top with bitterness. It’s a session beer for folks who appreciate an IPA with balance.

A great beer, but not a great IPA very little hops to it. If it were listed as a Pale Ale it would have been rated much higher, but I went in expecting so much more than it had to give. Similar in flavour to and ISA but far less of the resin bitterness that is so common of the style. Great if you’re just entering into IPAs

Pours a clear golden colour with almost no head. Fruity malt aroma with very little hops. Taste is quite malty with just slight notes of hops. Almost a stretch to consider this an IPA.

Lagerboy (1190) - British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 20, 2014
341 ml bottle. Unclear orange, not much head. Muted aroma of mild pale malt and floral hop. Buttery malt, British hop taste, slightly floral and herbal, some citrus and fruit and caramel. Soft carbonation, lighter than medium bodied, moderately hopped. Nice enough for a UK IPA, a bit lifeless and dull. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Gold pour with a white head. Nose is stale malts, lacking hops, earth, light florals. Easy palate, cardboard, plain, not much else.

Pours the color of a nice ripe peach. No head at all on my pour. Aroma is a bit flowery and hoppy. Tastes of hops, malts, earthy tones too. All in all a decent beer.

Middle of the road ipa. Thanks to reimer for this. Pours golden with a moderate white top. Aroma is pine hops and a small vegetal and medicinal. Taste is somewhat stale pine hop bitterness with grainy malt backing.

Not enough hops for this hop head! Lots of malt but more of a PA then IPA.

I malty ipa with subdued hop bitterness. A very enjoyable beer but I do prefer more of an American ipa with more up front hop flavour.
