COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The dark chocolate appearance is reminiscent of a porter, and the slightly darkened creamy head tops the look. But the first sip lets you know that this beer can be drank, in quantity if desired (or required?), without leading to an overly full gullet. Intricate malt flavors predominate, with a medium mouth-feel and a very light bitter.

Hazelnut brown colour. Nutty, chocolatey aroma. The flavour is moderate for a strong ale, and certainly Iíd hope for bigger if I wanted to survive a Yukon winter. Itís a little chocolatey, with hints of nuts and light coffee notes.

Bottle. Translucent cola colored ale with minimal ring around glass. Fruity (raisin, plum) aroma. Medium body. Taste is slightly fruity, with trace of roast malt. Carbonation is mellow but persistent. Alcohol taste is well masked.

Bottle@Fiddle River, Jasper, Canada. Reddish brownish black beer with a strong light brown head. The aroma is lightly malty, and the flavour is malty with some molasses and vinous notes. Overall a pretty average ale, but I've had a beer from the Yukon. Well pleased with that. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This one is indeed their lead dog…Good dark chocolate bitterness from the malt and creamy body…Not an achievement, but a nice drink…

Bottle (341ml) shared with GregClow, HogTownHarry & garthicus -- courtesy of GregClow. Pours a very deep ruby-orange with a spare diminishing off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, dark fruit, alcohol and maybe a hint of chocolate. Flavour follows the aroma but is slightly milder and more subtle. Average bodied. A good, enjoyable Ale.

355mL bottle, pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts and cola. Flavour seems to resemble that of a porter more so, with roasted malts being dominant and decent caramel sweetness. Smooth, slightly bitter finish.

Poured a very dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma is very roasty. The flavour is initially roasted malt followed by a nice sweetness and just a hint of bitterness on the finish. Very enjoyable.

Bottle - Dark sweet earthy fruIt, figs and sourness. Rotated malts also on the nose. Dark brown, almost black, with minimal head. Sweetness coming from figs, raisins, cherries and a very mild bitterness. A bit syrupy, served warm would go great with a dessert. I couldnt drink more than one, if one at all. If you could compare a beer to a port this would be the one.
