Draft - Hoppy pine, caramel and toasted malts. Cloudy amber with a foamy beige head. Hoppy bitterness followed by a malty sweetness. Not terribly exciting but a nice intense red.

Pint on tap at Beer Revolution in Edmonton, pours amber in color with a small white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and citrus. Taste is a caramel malty sweetness balanced nicely with a citrusy hop bitterness. Medium bodied with decent carbonation leaving a pleasant sensation on the palate. Overall, a pretty good brew for the style.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2013 Pours a clear reddish amber with a nice white hat and sticky lace. Aroma of caramel, sweet wort and a nice citrus burst from the hops. Taste is malts, peppers and citrus up front with a bit of nuts on the finish. Nice balance of malts and hops and completely masks the 8 percent abv, smooth imperial red.

Pours a clear dark copper with decent White head that sticks around in a healthy ring around the glass. Aromas of caramel, toasted malt, some citrus/grassy hops. Flavours of toasted malts, a nice medium grapefruit bitterness. Well balanced for an 8 percent beer.

On tap at the Sugar Bowl. Awesome deep amber brew with a small tan head and sticky lacing. The aroma is nice and fresh, yo. Caramel, unsweetened sweet candy, maybe peach and a light toast I think - having a hell of a time picking up on things but it’s all good. Sweet caramel and a small peppery bite for taste, very fruity, pine, hella bitter and lengthy at that, plenty of malts and pretty well balanced. Long bitter finish with pine notes. Very drinkable for that bitter fix.

Deep amber + light tan medium cap. Okay lacing. Smells nutty, lightly toasted malt. A bit of citrus. Tastes of toasted nuts, and candied sugar balanced by pink grapefruit bitters. Good tasting beer.
