Obviously the flavour is centralized around coffee, however I found it to be quite thin. While I do appreciate lower alcohol, it needs a more balanced flavour to compete with it’s obvious superiour- Peche Mortel. Savvy1982 (372), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 28, 2010 Bottle. Pours clear black, with a thin tan head that requires a fairly aggressive pour to form, then reduces to a ring quite quickly. Lacing is spotty at best. Nose is hot metal, mild coffee, some dark fruit and black chocolate. Feels a bit light and hollow. Palate is bigger than anticipated, nice coffee note, sweet caramel/chocolate as you approach the finish. It’s thin, but otherwise not bad. Unremarkable. TheHulk (183), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 28, 2010 Smell is not too strong, which I expect a stout to be. Smells of bitter coffee, like an old pot sitting around too long. Quite dark, not too much head or lacing. STRONG coffee taste, fairly strong malt flavour, quite bitter at the end. There is a lingering coffee flavour in your mouth, again bitter like old coffee. The coffee in the malt doesn’t really come out in the brew like I would have expected. NOTE: I was just drinking WR Oatmeal Stout from a party pig in my fridge, so this could be a bit biased Cole (344), , Alberta, Canada

Aroma full of coffee and roastiness. Sweet vanilla hints and mocha coat the expresso taste. Great bitterness. It’s all finishing by a quick chocolate aftertaste. Very good. blutt59 (2297), Dallas, Texas, USA
