Bottle from kbudd. Thanks Kevin. Black with no head. Heavy coffee nose. A bit of chocolate and roasted malt. Tastes of coffee, sweet chocolate, roasted malt, a hint of bitterness on the back end. Oily mouthfeel. This has been in the fridge since RBSG and has held up nicely.

341 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of dark chocolate, coconut, and heavily roasted malts. Flavors of watery black coffee, bitter acidic nuts, and roasted barley. A little metallic.

I would live in the Yukon just because of this beer. Pour black with a very small tan head. Aroma is of big coffee and roasted barley. Tastes of coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted barley. Has a medium body with low carbonation. I found it kind of dry, but smooth as well with a great espresso aftertaste. Perfect for dessert.

Wowie! A new brewery, a new province/territory and a damn fine beer all in one? Rare as, mate! From the get go after one whiff, I knew I was in for a good time. A huge and hearty blast of rich smelling, smooth dark roast coffee mingles with chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, smoke and burnt toffee. The blackest liquid rests beneath a thin tan head that laces lusciously. Once you get this beast in your yap you realize you get to taste everything you just smelled and the oily, full body and mildly warming booze will keep you powered through a Winter cruel.

Definitely for coffee lovers, it takes the roasted goodness of your typical stout to the extreme, for a very nice, smooth tasting and highly aromatic coffee stout. yum."

This was poured into a nonic.
The appearance was a pure black color with a creamy to slight tan one finger head. Messy lacing stuck and then slid after a decent amount of warming.
The smell had a large amount of espresso, roasty and bitter. A light sweet milk chocolate balances nicely.
The taste was balanced between the roasty, the sweet and the bitter. Everything just seemed right with the flavor.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with even a slight sessionability about it. A nice roasted espresso coffee bean rolled across my tongue.
Overall, a really nice espresso stout probably showing itself as Yukon’s best one.
