COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hearty northern people love a hearty stout beer. We've teamed up wtih Yukon's famous Midnight Sun Coffee Roaster to create this special blend. Originally developed for "Bean Queen" Zola Dore in a small batch kettle system by Yukoner Mitt Stehelin, we've retained the artisan qualities of this unique, unfiltered brew. The robust taste of this hearty stout starts with the smooth glide of real espresso and finishes with a dry chocolatey malt flavour. Why the big bottle? You'll love it so much, you'll want to share it with a friend, or not!

My first Yukon beer - WooHoo! And its a coffee beer, which is a style I have a particular affinity for. At any rate, the flavor and aroma are both coffee and chocolate, as is to be expected. Nothing too fancy, but I dig it.

Sample at a tasting at Suttree’s. Pours brownish black with small tan head. The aroma is coffee and ash with some chemical hints. The flavor is coffee with some tannic bitterness. Quite earthy. A little on the thin side.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2012 pours coffee black, small head, micro CO2. Malts on the nose. Initially sweet followed by a short burst of roast coffee, dark chocolate, dark fruit, and then a long lingering deep bitterness at the back of the throat. Creamy silky mouthfeel. Med complexity, medium length, medium body, medium depth, good carry, good transitions, good drinkability. Tastes of espresso as advertised.

This poured a darker bown color with a tan head. Aroma was medium roasted malts, some peppery coffee and espresso too. Flavor was very spicey and burnt, not really roasty, but watery at the same time.
