Hearty northern people love a hearty stout beer. Weíve teamed up wtih Yukonís famous Midnight Sun Coffee Roaster to create this special blend. Originally developed for "Bean Queen" Zola Dore in a small batch kettle system by Yukoner Mitt Stehelin, weíve retained the artisan qualities of this unique, unfiltered brew. The robust taste of this hearty stout starts with the smooth glide of real espresso and finishes with a dry chocolatey malt flavour. Why the big bottle? Youíll love it so much, youíll want to share it with a friend, or not!

As expected, bold coffee aromas dominate this. when drinking it, you get a brilliant mix of roasted malt, caramel and, of course, strong coffee. The finish is disappointing, it left me feeling like I just drank cold coffee. Other than that, there isnít too much wrong with this. A fine brew from Canadaís north.

Bottle. Dark, nearly black pour with a tan head. Aroma is milk chocolate and roasty coffee, like a creamy mocha. Flavour is pretty roasty, plenty of chocolate with a nice bitter coffee. One of the better coffee stouts I've tried, especially for the ABV. Nice surprise!

Black stuff with a beige head that soon ends up in a thin layer. Rich cold coffee ale. Espresso and grassy. Medium + body and a pleasant carbonation. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Oily texture. Ok tasty stout. Maybe a bit to one dimensional.

Deep brown and clear. Aroma is coffee and roast malt. Caramel and bitter coffee, not really a dark espresso but a decent flavour. Iím sure Iíve had this but I donít remember.

Bottle. A dark brown beer with a small, dense, dark beige head. Mostly clear. The aroma has a lovely mocha scent at first, but after a while Iím not really sure how nice it is. Thereís some vegetal hints in the back, thereís roasted malts and dark chocolate, but itís mocha that dominates. Itís a bit thin on the palate, itís soft and smooth and semi-dry. Mocha, dark chocolate and a little roasted kind of bitterness in the flavor, all lasting for a good while. Overall, a fine brew, but itís a bit ordinary and it lacks body. Drinks easy though. 150613
