JugOPunch (77), Nashua, New Hampshire, USA Jun 14, 2006 12oz bottle: Aroma of citrus and malt sweetness. The first thing that struck me was the full and rich body on this beer. This has the thickness of a double IPA. A smooth creamy and slick mouth feel with mild carbonation. The flavor is typical for the style but has a slight lingering bitterness that was a bit distracting. Overall, this was a solid and surprising IPA especially the deep malt profile that gave a nice thirst quenching quality. thornecb (1737), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA May 10, 2006 Pours hazy amber into a shaker. Bright white conglomerate head recedes fairly fast to leave lacing. Sock feet aromas. Flat and slightly caramel with a lasting grapefruit finish. I added a couple of notches overall because I like IPAs. Nejhleader (924), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 1, 2006 bottle from oldgrowth. Taste is a acidic citrus. seems to have a tad of roast in the aftertaste. I didn’t really enjoy this to much. Possible the worst IPA i’ve ever had. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 28, 2006 Pours a clear dark golden with a thin covering of white, thin-lacing head. Nice dry piney bitter hoppy aroma has a touch of toasty caramel malt. Body starts semi-sweet turning more dry and bitter toward the finish. A smooth, but overly bitter IPA without much sweet balance. goldtwins (4079), Nesconset, New York, USA Feb 27, 2006 Poured a hazy golden color with a thin off-white head. Aroma was soapy and floral. Some peach and caramel notes were there as well. Malty flavor of mostly caramel. Some floral hop flavor as well. Long bitter finish. Light to medium body. 2beerguys (299), North Shore, Massachusetts, USA Feb 11, 2006 The Z Street IPA pours a hazy, light amber color with a small, fizzy, off-white head. There are small particles in the body. Aroma gives off a moderate flowery hop scent. Initial flavor is a heavy bitter one that mellows to light bitter at the finish. Light to medium body on the palatte with an oily texture and soft carbonation. BennyTicklez (621), USA Sep 29, 2005 Pours deep hazy orange, minimal head. Aroma is fruitiness and mild hops. Decent mouthfeel, somewhat spicy hops. This beer has an English feel to it. Nice balance. DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA Jul 24, 2005 Bottle. Sticky, swet, peppery, orange-citrus hop aroma. Kind of weird aroma. Transparent copperish color with an off-white head. Floral flavor to start turning a little citrusy. Finishes with extremely burnt malts. Tastes like burnt popcorn with citrus grapefruit hops to finish. Way too burnt.
